As Haruki fired arrows to aid the Sparks with their fights, the Sparks below rushed forward to meet their enemy.
Soon the lines between the two groups blurred as they clashed once more. Shinesh threw his lighted fists around, smashing those that were in his way. Shiro was battling beside him, cutting down those who tried to sneak an attack on Shinesh. To ensure it did not cause any confusion, Kuro had hid in the castle, allowing Shiro to use her swords with both her arms.
With the generals fighting fiercely and tearing down the enemies in front of them easily, the Sparks surged forward with increased morale.
However, the Nayshards began to push back, with some of their skilled warriors taking down Sparks as easily. Screams of agony rang through the field as people were sent flying from both factions. Sometimes it was the body parts that were sent flying.
Shinesh was retching on the smell of blood, and he took deep breaths to calm himself down, only to make it worse. Just as he was about to throw up, he saw the Sparks in front of him getting thrown into the sky, as though a spear had pierced through their ranks, and it was heading straight for him without a moment of hesitation.
Shinesh infused his gauntlets with Light as he braced himself for the Nayshard charging towards him. At the last moment, the scene before his eyes cleared, and he came face to face with a man of similar build to himself.
Shinesh threw his arms out in reflex and caught the fists of the Nayshard head on. Upon closer look, the man had a crazed smile on his face, his hair wild. His torso was covered with a sleeveless shirt which did nothing to hide his muscles beneath it.
Shinesh gritted his teeth as he dug his feet deeper into the ground, trying to stop the charge of the man, who still had his momentum to keep him going.
"Oh? Not too skinny, eh? This is great!" The man cackled when he realised he was starting to slow down.
The two of them finally came to a standstill, their fists pushing against each other, the Light and Darkness releasing from them negating each other.
"Not bad, not bad! Finally someone worth my muscles!" With a surge of strength, the man shoved Shinesh backwards while releasing their grip on their hands.
Shinesh immediately balanced himself, his fists clenched in front of him. This man was strong, and he was not somebody to be messed with. The strength, muscles, and strong aura the Nayshard was giving off were no joke.
"What's your name, Spark? I'd love to know who stopped my charge."
"Shinesh Formyre."
"Shinesh, eh? Cool name. I'm Lich. Lich Neeyer."
Shinesh decided not too make any unkind remarks about the Nayshard's name, but keep his thoughts and attention focused on the upcoming fight instead.
That allowed him to dodge the fist thrown at his face, albeit barely. The rush of air blew across his face, making Shinesh swallow his saliva. Lich Neeyer had speed too.
Shinesh bent down and swipe a leg at Lich's feet, but the Nayshard was quick on his feet too. Jumping back, he landed on a palm before spinning his outstretched legs at Shinesh, throwing a kick. Unable to dodge in time, Shinesh barely shielded his head with an arm. The leg crashing into the gauntlet gave off Darkness, and Shinesh felt a surge of pain as it burnt his arm without the Light.
Lich launched another attack without pause, using the momentum from his turning body to aim another kick at Shinesh. Knowing he would be unable to block the second kick, Shinesh pushed the first leg away, causing Lich to lose his balance and tumble to the floor.
