Smoke was rising into the sky from many places at once. Small flames licked the ground, while larger flames burnt down the furnitures, and the smell of blood filled the air.

A man wielding a spear loosely could seen admist the flames, standing beside another man with azure blue hair. Both of them had slight cuts and bruises on their faces, their breathing slightly ragged.

Facing them in the courtyard, which remained mostly unscathed, was an elderly man. His well-developed muscles could be seen from the tattered clothes, and blood was flowing from cuts around his body. Despite his age and injuries, he seemed to be more well-off compared to his opponents.

"So, as expected, you're the only one left standing, Headmaster of the Zaki Taiyo school, Geniya Zaki." The man with blue hair said, wiping the sweat from his face.

"Heh. I wouldn't be called the Headmaster for nothing, right?" Geniya offered a dry laugh.

"Well, but your disciples were another matter. They went down quite easily. I guess this is what you have to expect from an amateur Spark school, huh." The man with the spear swung it once, before grabbing it tightly and going into a battle stance.

"Yeah. For that, I'll make sure the two of you won't go back alive." Geniya frowned, his fists shining brighter than the flames around them. "Sorry, but you won't even get to accomplish your mission."

"Bring it on, old man! Say what you want, but after killing you I'll dig out the Sun Torch that is supposed to be here, and burn down the whole school for good!"

With a yell, the spearman charged, and the air rippled as the two exchanged blows once more.

"Well, well. I guess I'll have to help, huh." The one who had yet to joined the fight lifted his palm, and a small black orb appeared on it. Small black snakes shaped from black energy shot towards the Spark user.

Geniya sensed the attack, and after catching the spear barehanded and forcing the user back, his shining fists smashed into the snakes before they could do anything, causing them to dissipate into nothing.

"A real honour to be meeting a tough fighter like you. I shall introduce myself. I am Vilirdarde, and this is Denire. We'll be the one responsible to bring this school down and retrieve the Sun Torch."

"You introduced me too, you idiot." Denire smacked his comrade's head.

Geniya ignored the small scene, and narrowed his eyes. "Since you want it so much, I'll show it to you."

The two Nayshards stopped bickering and looked at him. Geniya fished out two gloves from his pockets, identical to the ones Haruki was wearing at the moment, and put them on.

"Prepare yourselves, young ones. Once I put on the Sun Gloves, god knows what will happen if I release my full power on the two of you. They amplify my power by five times."

"Heh...lucky us! I'll chop off your arms and get those things right away!" Vilirdarde laughed nervously, his spear instantly coated with black energy. The man in front of him was a formidable foe, and he knew it. He would have to give his all if he wanted to survive.

"Here I go!" With a crack of the tile from the stamping of his foot, Geniya charged, his fists shining so brightly it was beginning to burn.

The dust was making Haruki choke, and he waved desperately in an attempt to clear the smoke in front of him, only to wince from the pain. His left arm had a cut up his forearm. It was not too deep, but the wound was bleeding, and burning. It must have been caused by Rinya's scythe.
