Prologue (Part 2)

He woke to the sound of footsteps outside his room. Everything was dark, unreadable. He walked over to his clock, squinting to see what time it was. It was one-thirty in Earth hours. He walked towards his door and peeked out, looking to the right. There was nothing in sight. Maybe he was just hearing things. But when he looked to the left, he instantly became absolutely terrified.
There was a man, clad in all black, stalking the hallways. He was holding something that looked like a long wooden stick, but the top was in front of him, and he was facing back. The first thought that came into Cenn's mind was to get everyone into the same room so they could hide. He went first to his sister's room. He opened the door to find her fast asleep. He shook her awake.
"Keri!" He said. "Come on, wake up!"
"Huh..?" She said, slowly sitting up. "What are you doing in my room, Cenn..?"
"There's no time to explain, Come on!"
They walked to their parents room, which was right across the hall.
"Mom! Dad!" Cenn whispered. "Wake up!"
"What..." his dad said. "What is it, kids..?"
"There's someone in the house! We need to hide now!"
However, just as Cenn finished saying this, there was a loud bang on the door. Cenn heard her sister scream in fright, and knew that at that moment, their fates had been sealed by that specific action. He now knew that there was people in the room. Suddenly, a blade had split the door in half. Cenn finally realized what the thing that the man had been holding was. It was an axe.
"Everyone get behind me!" Said Cenn's father. The man stepped through the space in the door. He had a wild look in his eyes. His pupils were constricted and there were blood vessels showing. These were the eyes of a murderer.
The man charged foward the axe raised above his head. Cenn yelled as the axe came down, but mere words could not save Cenn's father. The axe sliced through his chest, and he dropped to the floor. He was dead. Keri screamed and ran at the man. She grabbed the axe handle, but her strength was no match for his.
"Keri, no!" Yelled Cenn, but it was too late. Keri had already been struck. She was on the floor now, a pool of blood forming under her. He then threw the axe, and it landed on it's target. Cenn's mother's forehead.
"NO!!!!" Cenn screamed in terror. He looked around the room at his entire family dead on the floor. The man started to walk towards Cenn without the axe, supposedly wanting to kill him with his bare hands.
Seeing his entire family dead, it awakened something inside of Cenn. His Omnishard started to glow a bright blue, and an aura started to form around his fist.
The man stopped dead in his tracks, clearly afraid. Cenn slowly looked up at the man, but something was different. His eyes were usually a milky white with no pupil, but now both of his eyes were glowing bright blue with a wisp of blue energy coming off of it. He ran towards the man, enraged beyond belief. The man tried to run, but he kept tripping over the bodies. As Cenn's fist came into contact with the man's gut, everything went white.
