At school none of the teachers asked where Bella was. Nobody did. Maybe they already know. Maybe they just do not care. At lunch Daniel asked me to sit with him so I did.
"Are you finished eating?" He asked and I nodded. "Let's go for a walk." He said and once we walked out the door and walked for a couple seconds he stopped and turned to me. "Why didn't you call me last night!? Didn't I tell you to call me before you went to sleep!?" He screamed at me angrily. And when I didn't answer him immediately he smacked me across the face hard enough to make me fall. I screamed as I hit the pavement.
I lay there for a minute and he kicked me repeatedly until I heard multiple cracks. I screamed as loud as I could in pain. Then, Daniel took off running because a teacher burst out the door alerted by my scream. I saw the exact moment she saw me. Her face contorted to worry and shock. Then, she began running to me.
"Alissa. Are you okay?" She asked as I fell into the darkness trying to figure out why Daniel had done this.
