Chapter Eleven

"Wake up Alissa." A voice said waking me up. I opened my eyes and see Bella staring down at me. I jumped up grabbed my clothes and ran to the bathroom. I took a quick shower and dressed. One I was dressed I glanced at the clock.

"At least you came early. So you ready?" I asked Bella.

"Let's go. We'll be late." She said. Ten minutes later we split and went to first. During class we had a make up day. In spite of everything that has happened to me I still have everything turned in and have an A. So I wasn't really doing anything when the door burst open and everyone jumped and turned to see Bella in the doorway. "Alissa. We got our phones mixed up. Here's yours. Adam's on the line." She said handing it to me as I dug hers out of my purse. As soon as I placed it in her hand she left.

"Adam?" I asked because he knew that I was at school.

"Alissa! Is there anything you haven't told me!!??" He shouted into the phone.

"No." I lied knowing that I hadn't even told him a half truth.

"You liar! I've been told that Bella good kidnapped! You got beat up and put in the hospital by your boyfriend! And that you had a FBI agent following you.! And that's the only reason that the guy got caught!" Adam continued to shout.

"Who told you?" I asked.

"So it is all true?" Adam asked evading the question.

"Yes it is true. Oh my god. Ethan told you didn't he?" I demanded.

"Maybe. Maybe not. Why didn't you tell me?" He asked no longer shouting.

"I didn't want to worry you." I said looking up as someone else walked in the room. I watched as he walKed up to Mrs. Minton. They talked for a few minutes and then he pointed at me and then the door.

"Um. Adam I've got to go. I'm in class. Take care. Love you." I said.

"You too Alissa. Bye." He said hanging up as I walked out the door.

"Okay. What do you want Smith? And why are you here?" I asked crossing my arms across my chest.

"Alissa. First, my name is Oliver Smith. Not just Smith. And two I have something I have to tell you." Smith said.

"What is it?" I ask a shiver running up my spine.

"It's Daniel. The vehicle that was transporting him was hijacked. Daniel's missing. So I have to follow you around and keep you safe for the next two days. We don't believe that he'll come after you but he is unpredictable. So I'm going to be sitting in the back of all your classes." He said.

"This is just great." I said throwing my arms up in the air.

"Hey. This wasn't my decision either. This is going to be very boring." Smith said.

"Good luck." I said going back into my class. Right as I sat down the bell rang. I got my stuff and left the room without waiting for Smith. Halfway down the hall he caught up with me.

"I told you that I was to follow you. That means that you need to wait on me." He demanded grabbing my arm.

"I'm going to lunch! You don't have to follow me!" I shouted running up the stairs into the lunchroom. At the table in the seat- my seat- there was a folded piece of paper. I reached down and picked it up and planned on throwing it away but saw that my name was written on it. I looked around and saw that Smith wasn't around. I sat and slowly unfolded it knowing it was something mean.

It Read:
Alissa, I'm not coming for you today,
not tomorrow, not this month. But
one day I will get you. That is a
promise. I'll come when you least
expect it. And especially when you
don't have a tail. You are mine, Ali.

Just then Smith walked up. "What's that?" He asked taking it from me. He began to read it. I got tired of watching him read so I glanced at the window and he was there and he was smiling. Smiling very very creepily. I screamed and the whole lunch room went quiet. "What?" Smith asked and I pointed at Daniel. Once Smith turned and saw him, Daniel waved, flipped him off and ran.

Smith yanked his phone out of his pocket and called his speed dial. "Suspect spotted at the school. He headed north. I have no idea if he is armed." Smith said and hung up.
