Adrenalin rushed through me as I dodge yet another fist and returned it with my own. The gym was quiet, very quiet, with only the sounds Uncle Eddie and I are making from our fight.

Somehow I know that the others are watching, and annoyance flood past me at that thought. Is it that weird to watch a dhampir fight? Nevermind the queen part, but when their classmates are fighting they don't stop to watch. What is so special about me that they had to stop and watch?

"What is happening? Why is everyone not practicing?" A voice demanded.

Distracted, I turned to see who it was. As my mind registered that it was Guardian Hills, a new thought came to me. Oh shit, I'm-

My eyes shut itself automatically, seeing Uncle Eddie's fist coming train speed towards me as I turned back. Why did I not dodge but close my eyes, I have no idea.

But the hit did not come. The sound of flesh hitting flesh did rang through the gym though.

Daring a peek, I saw an unfamiliar back blocking me from Uncle Eddie.

"Dawn, you alright?" I heard both Uncle Eddie and Chad asking.

"Yeah." I replied, before that recognised burning started again, for the second time in one day. Growing used to it, unfortunately for me; I stayed on my feet, clutching my chest.

The owner of the back that met me the moment my eyes were open, my most current saviour hadn't had the same warning as I had. He went down on all fours, gasping and clutching his chest like my previous three Royal Guardians had.

Closing my eyes, I tried to focus on my breathing, waiting for the tattoos to appear on his wrists so the pain will cease.

Soon enough, it did. Opening my eyes, I saw wide eyes staring at my forth Royal Guardian. Including Guardian Hills.

"Talk about getting distracted." I breathed out, still slightly overwhelmed.

"Only you, Dawn." Chad said. Turning to face the others, he raised his voice at his next words, "Now you know what will happen if you guys get distracted, you just saw a live performance from our queen here."

I laughed with him, punching him on the arm. Even Macon was trying to hide a smile. Uncle Eddie just seemed relieved that he hadn't hurt me and was shaking his head in amusement at us.

Ryan Chris Rowen. My forth Royal Guardian. My parents were called in to Guardian Matthews' office, where I am brought to for the second time in barely a few hours and told to wait there. Once again, for formality sake, Dad had asked for approval to switch Ryan over under his guidance.

Right after Guardian Hills agreed to switch Ryan over to us, a talk randomly popped out and planning began straight away.

"So what is this about?" I asked. A talk was planned out on the spot for all novices and guardians not on duty to attend.

"A talk...?" Uncle Eddie replied, looking a little confused as well.

I rolled my eyes and turned to the other three. "Please don't tell me the same answer." I warned, almost begged. They shrugged, having the same expression as Uncle Eddie. That then I believed that none of them except my parents and Guardian Matthews knows what is going on.

"There was another parcel. Addressed to you and marked as urgent." Mom started, then paused. I swore I saw a shudder past her as her eyes glazed over, most probably recalling what had happened.
