Chapter 29

When your life has been full of drama, you tend to get suspicious when it suddenly becomes peaceful. Two weeks passed peacefully, after Wyatt appearance, and he had blended in with the others easily.

No Strigoi attacks, no threats, no more new Royal Guardians making their appearances. These two weeks were just plain old studies and training. I know my RGs, the court and the schools aren't letting their guard down, since Guardian Alkaev is still out there somewhere.

We are down one threat though, since the notes coming from the mysterious RD had stopped. From what I can put together, that mysterious note sender is Robert Doru, who is also that Richard Dolores whom ran that Strigoi community the others are still worried about. Probably because they believe Guardian Alkaev will go to them and release information about me.

Oh well, I'll leave the problem of my safety to my RGs, whom are more than happy to abide. I have other things to worry about. Things like, how to ignite the magic within all the dhampirs? My great- grandmother had given me the hint. Both my parents had their touch with magic- spirit magic, which happens to be the strongest of all elements. That's why they are able to have me. It's the magic.

But, from what I can remember- the book had stated that not all dhampirs can wield magic. So how do I differentiate from the ones who can and the ones who can't? That's the first problem I have to solve.

The books are of no help to me now that they are blank; I've tried means and ways but still, they remained as they had been the last two weeks. Yet, they sit, untouched, on my bedroom table. Every night, before I slept, I'd try using magic to hopefully get the words back. No such success so far.

The peace is really getting to me. I wasn't even fazed by the fact that I have no idea what to do now. I just felt- when it's going to happen, it will. I should've known better.

This peace is not going to last.

There was a crash. Then a shout. Rushing out of my room, my eyes widened in shock. Chelsea and Macon were in the full blown - I wouldn't say catfight, they were in a full guardian fight. Not the sparring, practice- "I'm not going to give in to you" kind, but the "I'm going to kill you for stepping on my tail" kind.

My other RGs are separated into two groups trying to pull them apart.

"What the hell is going on?" I called out, when they were separated.

"Ask him, that prick." Chelsea spat.

Macon literally growled and lunged at her, held off only because Chad, Brad and Ryan were holding on tightly to him. Colt and Wyatt cautiously made their way in between the two.

"Can someone- not any one of them, tell me what happened?" I asked.

Chad shrugged, clearly confused about the happenings as I was. Anna spoke out.

"Macon was sparring with Ryan. Then Chelsea told Macon that he is putting too much pressure on his speed that he is losing his techniques- then Macon just burst and leaps for her." She said.

"She should've kept her mouth shut. No one needs her advice." Macon growled out.

"Yeah, until you are dead when a Strigoi appears because you are too proud to admit you are not a good fighter!" Chelsea shot back.

They leaped for each other again.

"Stop!"

Everyone froze.
