When I Laid My Eyes On You

Chapter 38

I can't sleep, damn you, Lance! Damn, just because of that kiss. I can't freaking sleep. I still have classes tomorrow.

I decided to watch a movie to make myself sleepy..

"Anak, gising na." I heard my dad.

I opened my eyes and I saw dad smiling at me.

"Hola, Papa." I kissed his Cheek.

He brushed my hair and kissed my forehead.

"Get ready, sweetie. You're gonna be late." He pulled me to stand up and pushed me inside my bathroom.

I got ready and hurried downstairs..

Ang bangooo! Pancakes?

Tumakbo ako papuntang dining area, and there they are.

But what caught my eye is Lance.

Iniwasan ko yung tingin niya at tumabi kay Ryan.

Inakbayan ako ni Ryan, "Babes, ayaw mo na kay Lance? Sabi ko naman sayo sakin ka talaga mapupunta."

Natawa naman si Ian at Nathan.

Bigla naman kumunot yung noo ni Nathan, "Ang laki ng eyebags mo ah, as far as I can remember tapos na exam natin." He chuckled.

"Ah, kanina I was trying to wake her up. She left the TV open, I think she was watching a love story movie." natatawang sabi ni Dad.

"Yung pambata ba? Or yung may kiss?" tanong ni Ian.

What the hell is with that question? Bigla naman ako naging awkward. Naalala ko kasi yung kagabi. Shiz.

Lance smirked at me and continued eating.

I never felt this awkward before, but one thing's I'm sure. I cannot face this guy without feeling uneasy.

"Azalea! Mag hintay ka naman! May lakad, may lakad?" Sigaw ni Nathan. 

Patuloy parin ako sa paglalakad kahit ang dami na nakatingin samin.

Bigla na lang nila ako hinila paharap sakanila. 

"Ano bang problema?" Seryosong tanong ni Ryan

Kinakabahan ako tumingin sakanila. 

"Zea, tell us. What's wrong to our princess?" Alalang tanong ni Ian. 

Sasabihin ko ba? HINDI. Wait, kailangan din? HINDI. Malalaman rin nila e. PERO. AISH! 

"LanceandIkissed." Mabilis kong sabi at tumingin sa mga paa ko. 

"Ano?" Sabay nilang tanong.

"Lance....and......I.....Kissed." Dahan dahan kong bulong.

Nanlaki mata nila at nagkatinginan.

"WEH?!" Sigaw nila. 

WHAT MESS DID I GET INTO?!

I slowly nodded. 

Bigla silang ngumiti, sobrang lawak ng ngiti nila. Abot langit. 

"May first kiss na si Lance!" Mahina nilang sabi. 

ABA! SINABI SABI NIYA IM GOOD FOR A FIRST TIMER TAS SIYA RIN PALA.

I awkwardly smiled and continued to walk fast. It's still awkward for me.

Nakapasok na ko sa classroom at sumunod naman sila Ian na tuwang tuwa.

Lance was reading.

Bigla na lang siya inatake nila Ryan.

"Ikaw ah! KISS KISS KISS" asar ni Ryan.

Biglang nagbulungan mga kaklase namin.

'Hala, sinong lucky girl yun?'

'Kainggit'

'Sana lahat, na kiss na din si Lance'

"Sino nahalikan mo haaa?" Asar ni Ian.

Tumawa nanaman ulit sila.

Lance was looking uneasy.

"Ako." biglang nalang siya sumusulpot.

That hurt.

"Alanie." Malamig na sambit ni Nathan.

"Ako yung first kiss niya bakit?" Cool niyang sabi.

Strike 2. Needles in my heart.

Ang dami nanaman nagbubulungan.

I just looked away and placed my earphones.

Hinintay ko nalang yung teacher na dumating. Kaklase pala namin  to.

The teacher came in with a smile and looked at each of everyone of us.

"Good morning, I'm here to tell you who is on the top 10 overall your grade level." Masaya niyang tugon.

She started announcing names. Lahat naman ng top 10 asa star section which is our section.

Himala si Ryan got the 8th place. Delton got the 7th. Ian got the 6th. Nathan got the 4th.

Buti pa sila kasama sa Top.

"Job well done, Lance. But unfortunately hindi na ikaw yung top 1. You're in the top 2. Congratulations, Azalea. You're in the top 1" Nagulat naman ako sa sinabi niya.

I can't think properly. Is it real?!

Pumalakpak sila Ian at nag thumbs up.

I looked at Lance and I saw a glint of awe in his eyes. Like he's not bothered if I topped his rank. But he's proud of me.

I smiled genuinely.

This is the best day ever!
