When I Laid My Eyes On You

Chapter 03

Meeting him is actually one of the good things that happened to me. We hang out so much. Play video games in his house, but I never met his parents yet.

Masaya siyang kasama and he's really a nice guy.

Na-kwento ko kay mommy and she's happy that I met a friend to accompany me when I'm alone. Nagiging busy na kasi sila Mom and Dad, lately. Kaya she's glad.

Meanwhile, kay daddy, medyo against pa siya kasi nga 'lalaki' yung naging kaibigan ko. I should've met a girl na lang daw. Pero mom told him that it's okay to have a guy friend, because they know that I'm safe raw.  Dad thought that mom has a point, kaya pinagbigyan na lang.

Today, my family will hold an event for entrepreneurs, architects, engineers, name it. It's a grand one. A part of having strong connections, maybe.

I opened my closet to see what I can wear for tonight's event. Mama and papa organized this event.

As I look at my closet, I really don't know what to wear. Mom told me to wear a simple but an elegant dress, which I really don't know what kind of dress is that.

Binilhan ako ni Mommy ng dresses and actually all of them are nice. But what caught my eye is the light beige cocktail dress with a beautiful hint of gems. Finally, I found one!

Nababagay naman siya sakin because of my semi-tanned skin and my natural light brown hair.  So I just chose that one.

Pagkatapos ko pumili ng masusuot. I still have 2 hrs left. So, I decided to take a shower.

Pagkatapos ko mag shower, I wore my robe and headed off to my vanity, where all magic and paint in my face begins. Kidding, I mean makeup.

I blow dried my hair and I have natural curls, so I left it like that because it's decent today. Hindi naman siya buhaghag. 'Pag tapos nun, nag make-up na 'ko and all that stuff to my face. And I checked the time and I still have 20 mins left. I decided to wear the dress partnered up with a beige heels and a sparkling white clutch. Tinignan ko yung sarili ko and I look okay, I look different because I wore make-up that's why.

I went downstairs to check on my Mom. Wow, she is gorgeous.

"Well.... Ano sa tingin mo?" Tanong ni Mama habang umiikot.

"Wow, Ma. Beautiful." Maligaya kong sabi.

Ngumiti si Mommy sa'kin at tinignan ako from head-to-toe.

Kinabahan naman ako sa pag tingin ni mommy.

"Do....Do I look okay?" Tanong ko, nervousness enveloped me.

"You look beautiful, Baby girl. You're growing up too fast." Sabi ni Mommy. Mom's being dramatic again.

Napatawa naman ako sa sinabi niya, but then kinilig pa rin ako.

Napatingin ako kay daddy na kakababa lang at ang tanging mata niya lang ay na kay mommy.

"You look beautiful, amazing, gorgeous, Mi amor." Mangha na sabi ni Daddy

Lumapit si Daddy kay Mommy at hinalikan sa noo.

"Glad you've become mine." Sabi ni Daddy.

"Glad you've become mine, also." Hiya na sabi ni Mommy.

Looking at them makes me believe that true love does exist. Kahit busy na sila sa company, they still have time for each other and for me.

Of course, they went through a rough obstacle course. But they managed it to get away.

"Let's go?" yaya ni dad.

Lumabas na kami ng bahay at tumungo na sa event. Pag labas namin, there are too many camera flashes greeted me. But as a daughter of one of the successful businessman and businesswoman, I need to get used to this. All I did was smile and some reporters actually interviewed me.
