Emily's pov
"Who are you supposed to be ?"
"I have no clue. I wanted to go as the power puff girls but you know Spence, she's all about historical figures. I didn't even bother asking who we are supposed to be" Toby laughs
"And you are...a brown haired Ariel?" He questions, raising his voice
"I'm Emily the Mermaid" I laugh
"Nice" he smiles as he fixes his monocle
"Where are the seven dwarfs?" Toby asks Aria
"I'm actually Snow White and the two dwarfs" she rolls her eyes at the absence of 5 dwarfs
"And you must be Prince Charming" I snigger, placing my hand on Ezra's shoulder
"Yes I am, and I didn't even have to dress up" he says, flicking his cape behind his back
"Here come the Simpsons" Ali points, sniggering
"Looks like none of us would win a costume contest" Ezra laughs
"How? We are brilliant Simpsons" Hanna defensively says
"Well your baby has had a sex change"
"Excuse me but why does that matter? Maggie can be whatever he wants to be" Caleb says
"Okay then" Ezra awkwardly replies
"Toby doesn't even know who he is. Emily and Alison are okay I guess, but they are kinda made up characters and us...we are missing five dwarfs" he continues
"Alright party pooper, god Ezra have a relax little" Ali laughs
"Sorry your majesty" Ezra says bowing
"What dwarf are you?" Hanna asks Leo, picking him up
"Don't you know Aunt Hanna? I'm Hungry" he sarcastically replies
"I didn't know there was a dwarf Hungry"
Alison and Leo burst out laughing and every time one of them stops laughing the other starts again and it becomes a viscous circle until Ezra calls for Leo
"Come on Dopey son, it's time for a photo"
Each family gets an individual photo and then we set up the tripod and take a group photo of us all. Our parents arrive and we get another group photo
Ali's pov
Spencer and Toby threw a small Halloween party this year and invited us and our parents. The kids play party games like Musical Chairs and Pass the Parcel and we sip as much wine as we can without getting drunk
"Time for Apple bobbing" Toby chants, placing a bucket of freezing water onto the floor
"Who's first?" Em asks
"Do we get a shot?" Veronica asks, jumping off the sofa
"I'm going first" Ashley shouts, kneeling down at the bucket
