OUTGOING MESSAGES
10:12 pmDamian:
"We are in the same room. Echo, are going to keep ignoring me?"
Echo:
"I'm busy"
Damian:
"Too busy to talk to me?"
"You're texting me right now, whilst on your computer."
"There is no reason you can't talk to me rather than text."Echo:
"Leave me alone"
"I need to finish this"Damian:
"Finish what?"
"The least you could do is tell me what the problem is."Echo:
"Maks went away for something. Another dude took his place while he was away. He caught me slacking off and decided to see what I was up to. He took a copy of my USB that held some info about the firewall on my phone. If he turns it in to Cyber I'm and you, are screwed."
"I have to change the firewalls, redo the security codes and wipe anything I had about you, and you about me."
"After this is done, you should forget about me"Damian:
"No!"
"You are far to important to me to loose."Echo:
"Don't say things you don't mean"
Damian:
"I mean it."
"Echo, you have become a friend to me."
"Like I have to you."Echo:
"Don't sound so sappy"
"I'm not gonna die"
"You just have to forget you ever met me"Damian:
"What if I don't want to?"
Echo:
"I'm not giving you a choice."
Damian heaves a sigh, staring across the room to see Stacy- er, Echo. He didn't want to forget about Echo. She'd become a close friend of his. One of his only friends. He walks over to her corner, trying to peak over her shoulder.
"Go away!" Echo quickly hisses, tugging her computer away from his view. "I'm busy!" Lately, those were the only words she would say to him. To anyone.
"Echo, you've yet to eat anything. It's unhealthy," Damian tries to reason with her. It falls on deaf ears. Echo wasn't paying attention to Damian. It saddened Damian to see Echo destroying herself over a simple mistake.
Coming up with an idea, Damian swiftly walks out of the guest bedroom, where Echo had been staying in the Manor. After much debate with Bruce and Alfred, they thought it would be best to have her under constant supervision. Although, Damian's yet to disclose exact details of any of their conversations.
Damian came back with a plate full of food. That was healthy. He wasn't going to give her anything less. Quietly, he sets in front of her.
Echo was too busy to notice what Damian had done. With her nose deep in her computer screen, she didn't even know Damian had left the room. It's not like she put a tracker on him. She'd do that later.
Damian watched silently, waiting for her to notice the food. Surprisingly, Echo doesn't look up. He's shocked to see that Echo just blindly reaches for the plate.
She picks up half of a sandwich, mindlessly taking a bite out of it. She mumbles to herself, switching from eating to working.
Damian grins in satisfaction and victory. Echo's not starving herself and she's safe. That's all Damian needed to know.
