➵Thirty Two

Tetch... That was somewhat familiar to me. I had used to have all access to Cyber's records but never did I see the name, Tetch. Or someone like them. Tetch.... No. There was only ever one person Cyber let go. Tyler Edds. He was reckless and always looking for a fight. He was so close to revealing their location too. One of their secret bases.... That was not to be said. Ever. It's a crime against them.

Less than 40 hours until I had to see them again... See Cyber. I wonder who would meet me. Someone I know, someone I like. Would it be Maks or that other guy? Would be an executive? Another hacker like me? Or an assassin like Maks?

I felt a shiver go down my spine. It freaks me out to know that I have to see them again. "Kitty!" I suddenly squeak out, seeing an orange colored cat pounce down the hallway.

The cat turns around as if hearing an explosion. It starts running away from me.

I frown, pouting like a child. There's chuckling behind me. I knew that voice. I turn around to see Damian there. His arms are crossed and he's smirking. "I wanted to pet the kitty..."

Damian looks off to where the kitty went. He walks over to me. "Pennyworth doesn't like new people," he says.

I think for a moment. "So, your butler's a cat?" My eyes go wide and I smile gets bigger. "OH MY GOD-"

"What's with all the commotion here?" Pennyworth suddenly turns the corner.

I grin, putting my hands behind my back. "Um, nothing! Say, weren't you just here? Like, a second ago. in your humanoid cat form, thing, person, meta- am I being offensive?" I look at Pennyworth with a sad smile. "Sorry...."

Pennyworth just looks confused. "Ah," he says, "you must be talking about Master Damian's feline. Why he named the dear feline after me, I will never know." He walks ahead on, entering another room. Probably to clean stuff.

I turn a frown towards Damian. So he has a cat named Pennyworth, named after his butler. "You know, for someone like you, naming a cat after Pennyworth is really sweet. You know?" Within seconds, my frown is gone and I'm bouncing down the halls of Wayne Manor.

Damian just shakes his head. He doesn't want to admit that he's a softie inside. Just like Jason.

Echo:

"Hey yo Tetchy!"
"I found ya, Tyler."

Tetch:

"How? Cyber denied your access to files!"

Echo:

"Yeah"
"But you told me Cyber left ya"
"Cyber's only left one person. Y'know, that's actually still, probably alive"
"Big mistake Tyler"

Tetch:

"Doesn't matter, Alice."
"You barely have anything to me but a name"

Echo:

"Mm sure Tetchy"
"Don't you underestimate my skills"

Tetch:

"Oh, I won't."
"Just as you, won't underestimate me."

Echo:

"Wow, going all cryptic"
"You can't see it but I'm rolling my eyes"

Tetch:

"Only you would know."

Echo:

"Gees. If you're waiting for me to accept your offer, you can forget it."
"I'm not leaving Damian like that."

Tetch:

"Oh, but you will."
"Alice"
"It's safer my way. That's all I ever wanted for you."

Echo:

"You knew me?"
"Tyler.... how long have YOU known me?"

Tetch:

"A long time Alice. Or would you prefer I call you, Lizzy?"

Echo:

"Tyler...."

Tetch:

"Yes, Lizzy?"
"Do you remember me now?"
