Pregnant By A Dragon

It was evening now. I had Roses egg in between some pillows on the floor. While Cole laid on the carpet playing with the plastic baby toy ring in his hand. It was so cute watching him try to figure out what it was. It's just a plain plastic ring but to him it's probably the most complicated thing.

Josh was in the hallway talking to people through mind link. The same kind me and Josh have. The Chief can talk using his mind with all the male citizen's of this den that are at least 20 years old. This is an ability I don't have.

I was sitting and looking at Cole until I noticed something move in the corner of my eye. I turned right towards Roses egg and the up towards the window. Nothing was there.

Suddenly Roses egg twitched. I thought I was hallucinating till it twitched again. Then again except I heard a crack. Then another and saw cracks appearing on the top of the egg.

'JOSH COME HERE QUICK. ROSES EGG IS HATCHING' I yelled in mind link.

Josh was here instantly.

"Wow it's really happening. Did Erica say how it's supposed to go or what we should do" Josh said starting to panic.

"She said every egg is different and we should ket it do it's thing" I said calmly trying not to show my own panic.

Roses egg started to twich more violently and cracks were appearing everywhere. I looked at Cole to see him still staring at the toy trying to rip it apart with his hands. I turned back to Roses egg and saw it suddenly start to float up. It got to about my eye level and cracks encased the whole egg. They started to glow and then I could here a muffled cry until the egg disappeared from the top to bottom revealing a beautiful baby girl crying.

She started to float down and Josh caught her and held her close. She quickly stopped crying. I looked at her in Josh arms and was mesmerized. She was anazing jost like Cole. She had reddish bown hair and her whole skin tone was towards the reddish hue.

"She's amazing. They're both amazing" Josh said with tears in his eyes. He lowered himself next to Cole.

"Yeah they are" I said.

I quickly ran and got things to dress Rose in. I picked her up from Josh's arms and felt my fingers hit a bump on her back. I put her diaper on and turned her over. She just stared at Cole playing.

"Um Josh what are these?" I said looking at what looked like two little dragon wings on her back.

"Those are wings! Dragon wings!" He said.

"Yep Josh is correct. Those are dragon wings. They're the equivalent of the wings a newborn pure dragon would have. It won't cause her any serious health issues but as they grow they will hurt and itch here and there. I suggest you cut holes in her clothes for her wings because they do grow quite fast. In her case I say that by the time she's five she will be able to partially fly using them. The reddish hue to her skin is her normal skin tone and nothing to worry about either. She also has a full dragon form in case you were wondering" The doctor at our dens local clinic said. Dr. Erica was busy so we went to a local clinic instead.

"Thank you doctor" Josh said.

"My pleasure Chief" He said with a bow.

We came home and Gloria greeted us at the door.

"So how did it go?" She asked.

I relayed the information we received.

"Wow that is quite something deere. You surely have your hands full but don't worry because I'll be here to help. They're my great grandchildren after all and I would have helped sooner but I needed you to experience and understand that being a parent isn't easy" Gloria said with a smile.

"Thank you so much Gloria, and yes it's definitely not easy" I said.

"Your welcome but just a warning that it will only get harder" Gloria said with a smile again.

*Time jump. The twins are 2 months old*

We were in Josh's office.

I was reading some papers on an issue with the dens market prices while breastfeeding Rose. Cole was sleeping in a special rocking bed. Josh was sitting with me on the couch in his office using his feet to rock Cole.

"What's the transfer value of Cerznook coins to Draknoul coins?" I said.

"four Cerznook coins equal one and a half Draknoul coins. Why?" Josh replied.

"Seems like some of the foreign merchants from Cerznook are making our people pay way to much" I said.

"Ok I'll get someone to look into it" Josh said then got up and walked to his desk.

Rose finished eating but was wide awake. I put her on the couch, sitting her up slightly using a pillow. I gave her a few toys and went to grab a set of different documents.

I got the documents and turned around than suddenly a portal appeared in the middle of the room. Two blurs came out and moved at super speeds towards the twins. I immediately went for them but they got the twins and ran into the portal. I ran fast but Josh ran faster he was about to make it before the portal closed and Josh ran into bookshelves. Suddenly a siren could be heard which ment the den is under attack.

I broke down in tears and asked "Josh what were those things!?"

Josh punch the wall and angrily said "Vampires. Fucking vampires"

I looked to where the portal was and saw a small note. I grabbed it and read it. It said...

Sorry the chapters are short but I'm trying to finish this book but not do it half heartedly.

Next chapter will be the last one before the epilogue.
