It has been five months since the engagement of Brandon and Laura and wedding plans and preparations were underway. Grandpa Holmes was called first before everyone else and he was overjoyed. He went back to England a very happy man but not before he had a private talk with Laura.

"Brandon is my only link to my dead child. The only heir who can carry the family's legacy. I really love you both but I must confess that I love Brandon more than my own life."

Laura was confused and even wondered where the conversation was going.

"What I am trying to say is that, please take care of my grandson. He means the world to me and I am asking this of you now..."

"What is it Grandpa?" Laura asked in a small voice.

"Would I be asking for too much if I ask you to move to England after your wedding?"

Laura sincerely didn't see it coming. Move to England? What about her family? Her job she is so passionate about and most importantly her quest to finally confront her mother. She had confirmed some months ago that Ms. Koketso was her birth mother. What a small world. To think she was the child of such a highly recognized, celebrated and wealthy woman?

"I will think about it Grandpa and talk it over with Brandon too." Laura replied softly.

Grandpa Holmes smiled. "Already thinking like married woman...I like that."

And so she discussed it with her fiance a week after Grandpa's departure.

"He is alone in England and I know he misses me especially now that we are miles apart. Your family is here in Botswana and mine..." His voice trailed off.

Laura took his hands in hers and said, "We are about to become one family."

"We will pray about it and ask God for directions. But Brandon, I don't have a lot of friends here nor do I have any that side. The one thing I cherish most is my job. Where do I start from? I am scared."

He took her hands in his and smiled broadly,

"What?" She asked in annoyance.

"We will pray and think about it and I assure you the decision we would make eventually will benefit everyone."

"Promise?"

"I promise."
