Latoya was about to enter her car to get to work when her phone begin to ring. She did not recognise the number but picked the call.
"Mrs. Rakwela."
"Dumela."
"I am Ms. Molefe."
"How may I help you?"
The line went quiet.
"Ms. Molefe?"
"Please let us meet up. It has to do with your daughter Lauretta."
Latoya's mind begin to race wildly. What about my daughter?
"Who are you and what do you want?" She asked in a shaky voice.
"I mean no harm Madam, please this is important. I know I am too late..."
"Now you are scaring me Ms. Molefe! What do you want? What is your relationship with my daughter?" She raised her voice just a little.
"We cannot discuss on air so please let us meet up."
Latoya was skeptical about meeting a strange woman just because her daughter was mentioned.
"Let's meet up in the next ten minutes at Airport Junction Mall's KFC."
"Thank you very much." Ms. Molefe said in gratitude.
Ten minutes later, Latoya ordered a crusher drink to calm her nerves. After Laura's scary episode the previous night, she was determined that nothing would ruin her child's happiness. A woman in her early fourties walked into the eatery with a air of elegance, grace with a little anxiety.

Koketso Molefe smiled weakly as she sat in front of Latoya. The latter wondered how her daughter met with the woman before her but all the mystery will be revealed soon.
As she sat down, Latoya's phone began to ring.
"Excuse me."
"Yes honey?"
"I will come right away." Latoya stood up and apologised to her guest.
"There is an emergency at home. Let us make another appointment."
Koketso was speechless. This wasn't how she wants the meeting to go. She needs to confess before Lauretta gets married.
