"My child, if only you know how much I have been watching over you, praying for you and asking God to bless you with a good family. All the ordeal you went through was never part of my plan for you but God has seen you through them all. I am reaching out to you now because I miss you so much and long to compensate for the lost years. Lauretta, please forgive your coward of a mother."
A loud crash distracted her from the entry she was making into her diary. She got up from her study chair in her bedroom and walked out of her bedroom. She switched on the passageway lights and entered her opulent living room.
"Oh my God! Oh God!!!!" Right at the center of her living room was a large black goat with a slit throat crashed into her glass coffee table. There was blood and broken glass all over the tiled floor and the nearby sofas. Fear gripped her heart as she wondered who could have done it. What if they were still around and could pounce on her at any moment? She ran back to her bedroom and locked the door. She covered her mouth with her hands and walked over to her study table, grabbed her phone and dialed 999. She looked around frantically but saw no suspicious movement or activity.
Finally her call went through. Frantically she explained what she saw to the officer at the other end of the line who promised to send help over immediately and requested for her address. As the call ended, Koketso wondered how the person breached her tight electrical security. She sat on the floor with her head rested on the wall by her bedside. Tears rolled down her face as she waited alone for help.

Superintendent Tlhware looked around and sighed. He suspected immediately the hands of the person that attacked Vincent Moabe's family as well as the Rakwela's family. But what could b tying the three families together? Lauretta.
He sighed again and dialed Mrs. Rakwela's number. Th perpetrator must be found but sadly his number one suspect was the golden girl herself. This could be her way of getting revenge on her biological parents who abandoned her and made her go through such nasty childhood experiences but the Rakwela family saved her. What could be her motive for hurting them?
"Dumela Madam. This is Superintendent Tlhware."
"Sir, how may I help you?"
"Where is Lauretta?"
"She is in her bedroom fast asleep."
"Can you please confirm that?"
"Why? What is going on?" Latoya felt offended. Who could have been hurt now that the first suspect was hr child?
"Please just help me here."
Latoya rolled her eyes and quickly filled her husband in.
"Why is he disturbing our sleep for goodness' sake?" He complained with a yawn and got up too.

After the showdown of few hours prior, Laura had ran off to her room leaving her engagement ring with Brandon. The latter was confused but understood right away what was happening. His fiance was falling into a relapse and he vows not to allow it. She was redeemed and set free from the pain of the past. Any remnant must be exposed and dealt with. He had breathed a sigh of relief and thanked the Lord for the extra doses of patience He gave him. God indeed prepared him for this moment. He has asked for permission from Mr. and Mrs. Rakwela to go up and see Laura. They had agreed and h went up, knocked and entered.
"Laura, we need to talk." Laura was lying on her bed and weeping. She sat up when he walked towards her, grabbed the tissue box by her bedside and wiped her face and running nose.
"Dear, you are free from the pains of the past. god has set you free and you are no longer under anyone's control."
"Brand, I am sorry for losing it. I just hated the nasty interruption to my life that is just falling into place. I thought I could handle all this but I guess I am still weak."
