She awakes from her deep sleep, clutching her phone in one hand and the other around a stranger's body. She jumps from her resting position in realization of the situation. Quickly, she picks up her phone and calls Jamie.

She asks herself, "Where am I" while calling Jamie's phone.

"What? What do you mean. I don't understand." Jamie tries to make sense of the situation. "I went home at like 1 am. I didn't see you in the dorm. Are you okay? Where are you?"

"I ummm. I am.", Brooke said, fumbling her words. "Hold on" as she stands up and walks around the room.

She opens the T.V and finds that all the channels are in french. She opens the windows and finds a motel six sign. She opens the maps app on her phone, and it read "Montreal, QB, Canada".

"I, I think I'm in Montreal." Brooke answers.

"Montreal? That's like 6 hours from where we are. That's like in Quebec." Jamie says, in disbelief of the situation.

"I know, I know. I'm looking up busses that get to Toronto right now." Brooke replies as she taps on her phone.

Suddenly, Brooke experiences a sharp pain in her head. She winces from the sensation and closes her fists.

"Hello?? Are you there?" Jamie asks. "When are the busses coming?"

"Uhhh" Brooke says after a moment of relief, but then sudden disappointment. "The next bus is 2 days from now."

"Wait... April 28th.", Jamie calculates in her mind. "No, your classes start to review for finals. You can't miss out! You have to come back today."

Brooke stumbles with a solution, "I mean like, I can ride an UBER. But that will take money."

"No, I'll come pick you up. Just stay where you are right now." Jamie says sternly.

"I am in a motel 6, with a man I don't know." Brooke says as she enters the bathrooms. "Wait, nope. A man and a woman." She says correcting herself as she sees a woman sleeping on top of the toilet seat.

Brooke decides to take her purse, and go to the nearest diner to rest. She orders a double double, some fried chicken and mashed potatoes, and lays her head on the soft cushioned seat. Hours pass, she wakes up to a call. Brooke answers, goes outside and sees Jamie. Brooke enters the car with great relief.

"Finally. I was afraid that you got lost or something." Brooke says with a long sigh afterward.

Jamie smiles, replying, "I'm sorry, I'm not like you. Of course I came here. Even though it did take me 6 hours to get here, you know." She continued, with an overreactive tone.

"Okay okay, fine. What do you want in return?" Brooke giving in.

"A road trip."

Brooke looks back with confusion.

"Okay, yes it's only a six hour drive back to Toronto. But still, its 6pm right now. We can do a 3 hour drive, sleep, then continue back home." Jamie explains as she starts to drive.

"Wow, look at you being adventurous." Brooke says with a hint of excitement. She continues, "yeah, plus it would be good to have some girl talk. We need to find you another man. Don't worry I have a little black book." Brooke ends, with a smile, placing her hand consolingly on Jamie's shoulder.

As time passes on, both Brooke and Jamie have heard the same song played 3 times in the past 30 minutes. Needless to say, they sang along each time. But Jamie started to feel the awkward silence.

She starts to speak, "Hey, I called student services and got you back into that class. Though I had to impersonate you, it was fine, cause you got back in."

Brooke looks at Jamie quietly.

Jamie looks back asking "what, what's wrong?"

"Nothing, nothing." Replies Brooke. "I just want to say Thank You."

"What? No, that call was nothing. It was fine." Jamie answered back with confusion.

"No, not just for the class. For, for driving all the way here to pick me up. And driving all the way back." Brooke explains while smiling softly, "I just want to say Thank You."

Jamie tries to hold back a smile, saying, "well I want to say thanks too. Pushing me to go to the club was a good thing. It helped me remember to forget about all my problems for awhile. So I want to say thanks too."

Both of them smile at each other with pure happiness. The sun started to fall into the misty grey. Jamie pulls over at a motel and both of them check in.
