beau wouldn't know what was good for him if it slapped him in the face. he would refuse the things that were good for him: things- people- who loved him for who he was truly.

ellis was doomed to fall in love with that dark skinned boy who didn't know that a boy could kiss just as well as a girl could.

that is until one day, beau had the wonderful opportunity to experience ellis's  intoxicating lips.

beau had been casually minding his own business in a dark corner secluded from the rest of the party.  he was furiously texting his ex-girlfriend on his phone and hadn't noticed when a very drunk ellis stumbles up to him.

suddenly, the phone was pushed out of his sight and all beau sees is the hazed, ocean blue eyes of the rivaling schools soccer captain.

"why the fuck are you so close and personal to me, hayes?" beau asked in annoyance. "don't you have something better to do like suck someone's dick?"

ellis hayes grins devilishly. "yeah, that's what i'm trying to do right now." his words are slurred, and beau knew he was too incoherent to understand what's he's saying, but his heart picks up anyway.

"w-what?"

"oh, come on. you should know by now that I think you're hot, taylor. but the question is, what are you gonna do about it."

ellis tried to lean against the wall sexily, but he stumbles and beau thinks he looks cute rather than sexy.

wait- he did not think ellis was cute.

he tried to manage out an 'I'm not gay and you know it' but before he can finish the sentence, ellis has cut him off with a kiss.

despite ellis's drunken state, the kiss was not sloppy. ellis immediately pushed beau farther into the shadows as if he knew beau would be worried about prying eyes.

beau's mind began to grow hazy as ellis's tongue delved expertly into beau's mouth. It's was as if beau is the one drunk.

ellis tasted of a sweet liquor too expensive to be at the quintessential high school party they were both at.

at first beau was shocked. he'd never kissed a boy before. he began to pull away, but upon realizing he liked the warm sparks that ran rampant throughout his body, he pulled ellis closer.

kissing a boy was no different from kissing a girl except ellis was much harder in places girls were not.

beau found that he kind of liked the feeling of strength ellis carried with him. beau knew ellis wouldn't break beneath his hands.

however, this kiss ended all too soon, and ellis laughed when he pulled away and beau tried to follow.

they looked at each other with an incoherency that only drunks have, but they were drunk on entirely different things.

"so what were you saying about not being gay, taylor?" ellis asked with amusement.

"my statement still stands. i'm not gay."

ellis just laughed. "oh I forgot. kissing guys is a totally straight thing to do."

beau sighed and pushed away from ellis. "you're drunk hayes. you won't even remember this happening."

though ellis was very drunk, his eyes took on a moment of seriousness. "yeah, I'm drunk, but not enough to forget that kiss."

beau just walked away.
