for the first time since friday morning, beau went home after his grueling soccer practice. he didn't necessarily want to go home; in fact, he didn't want to go at all. however, he had nowhere else to go. ellis's parents were back home and beau was uncomfortable with the thought of meeting his not-boyfriend but the guy who sucks his dick, parents.

yeah, that was a big HELL no.

beau cautiously opened up his beat-up front door before coming in. he shut it quietly before noticing a new dent in the wall next to it.

his father probably fell into another one of his moods and took it out on the house.

beau trekked begrudgingly to his small room. the carpet was stained and dirty and his room was nearly bare save for a numerous amount of soccer trophies that littered the dinged wooden dresser and rickety table.

his bed was rumpled and unmade, and clothes were tossed on every surface possible. it was a sharp contrast to ellis's large, clean room. even in beau's lustful haze, he noted the lantino's lifestyle privilege.

beau dropped his weighted bag down by the door and sat at his metal desk where all his schoolwork sat untouched.

he opened his laptop, an old, nearly unusable item that only provided the basic technology of the day. from his pocket; he conjured a pair of wiry frames and put the on his face. he hated wearing his glasses, but he always needed them when he did his school work.

immediately his mind got to work, doing his best to catch up on all the homework he'd left undone that weekend. he pushed all thoughts and anxieties out of his way as he focused on getting his work done.

soccer was one way out of the hellhole he lived in, but without academics, he wouldn't get far.

beau heard the front door open and slam shut quickly. he felt a sense of dread when he heard the sound, but relaxed when he realized when he heard no shouting ensue. his father was not drunk tonight.

that did not stop his father from thrusting open beau's room. he stood in the doorway and stared at his son who worked diligently at his desk.

"where the fuck you been, son?" He questioned him curiously.

without lookin up front the screen, beau answered. "i was with a girl all weekend." the lie came swiftly out of beau's mouth. it was not uncommon for him to leave for long amounts of time and stay with someone else. this time it was no difference except for the gender he was with.

his father raised a dark eyebrow. "hope you were safe. I don't want no grandchildren running the fuck around here. you hear me, boy?"

beau looked up at his father. "when have I ever been careless, pops? you know I've been doing this for years and ain't nothing happened yet. I know how to keep it wrapped up."

his father smiled grimly. "yeah i thought the same. then your whore of a mother got knocked up, had you, and left us both. don't trust a bitch, beau. in fact, don't fucking mess with them."

beau winced at the mention of his mother. she'd left them years ago, but his wounds were still fresh as the day she left them.

he remembers that day vividly.

"yeah, I got it, dad. I won't mess with no hoe who can't pass a psych evaluation. got it." he snapped in retaliation to the intruding, unwanted thoughts of his mother.

his father narrowed his eyes at the tone of disrespect, "watch your fucking mouth. You ain't too old for an ass-whooping nigga. don't come in here acting brand new."

beau grit his teeth at his father's reprimand, but his fear of his father's temper was greater than his need to defend himself, so he simply grunted a forced "yes sir."

seemingly pleased, his father ambled away and down to the den to probably smoke and "wind down" with a"few" drinks.

beau hated living at home, but he had nobody and nowhere else to go.
