the game was intense and not just because the two rival teams were up against one another.

beau's already racing heart would stutter at even a glance towards ellis. sadly, he had to look at ellis quite often, otherwise he couldn't play.

beau assessed that ellis was being a cocky bitch. beau could tell that ellis remembered the kiss they shared a week prior.

it boiled beau's blood and threw off his game. he made more rookie mistakes than he did in his freshman year.

he'd played so bad that the coach pulled him out the last half and forced him to sit and watch the rest of the game.

without their star player, northview high fell to pieces as beau watched in agony.

by the end of the game, the entire team of northview high was pissed. as they somberly shook hands with the other team it was clear to see their dejected faces.

As beau passed ellis's hand, he glared into the ocean blue eyes he loathed.

"this won't happen again, hayes. watch your fucking back."

ellis simply smirked deviously before moving down the line.

beau shook his head as rage welled up in his stomach.

he really hated that guy.

beau was the last one out of the locker room as he was the last one to shower and gather his things.

he knew his teammates went to some after party despite their loss, but beau just wanted to go home.

he was tired and upset and most of all, confused.

after locking the locker room up, he headed to his car in the near empty parking lot.

beau walked up to his car and began to unlock it, however, as he tried doing so, he was turned around and pushed up against the side of his car.

he didn't have to see to know exactly who it is and so when the person connected their lips to his, he did not hesitate to kiss back.

the kiss was needy and full of anger; beau just wanted to rip all of ellis's hair out.

he tried doing so and both to his excitement and annoyance, ellis merely groaned at the tugs.

ellis tasted like salt and mint and beau couldn't get enough of it. he couldn't decide if he liked it better than the taste of the expensive liquor that last tainted the other boys tongue.

the taste of liquor meant intoxication, but the taste of mint meant alertness.

beau didn't know which was more dangerous, a drunk ellis, or an alert one.
