Scene 6 "Glum Graduation"

{The next morning}

Nathan wakes up his hair was messy and his bed was torn apart from sleeping. He gets out of his bed and changes when he's done he makes his way to the bathroom in the hallway. Sarah walks out of the bathroom with a robe on and makes her way to her room and closes the door. Nathan exits the bathroom and makes his way down the stairs and into the kitchen. Henry sat at the table reading the newspaper and drinking coffee with Anna next to him eating breakfast. Sarah hurries down the stairs and enters the kitchen as the front door opens, Andy walks into the house and removes his shoes and makes his way to the kitchen.

Andy Rod-(Looking tired) "Morning, you guys."

Everyone- "Morning Andy."

Andy walks over to the cupboards and grabs a box of cereal and begins eating it out of the box. The toaster pops as Nathan grabs the toast and lays them on a plate, Sarah sat at the table and eats a bowl of cereal while reading a part of the newspaper. Nathan makes his way to the table and sits down. Henry gets up and gets another cup of coffee as the doorbell could be heard. Nathan gets up and answers the door, at the door was Mr. Rod.

Nathan Jones- (Looks into the kitchen) "Andy? Your dad's here."

Andy comes to the door and begins talking with his dad as Nathan walks back to the kitchen.

Andy Rod- "Yeah dad?"

Mr. Rod- "I have to go visit grandpa for a few days so the house is yours for the weekend."

Mr. Rod hands him the key to the house and says goodbye before he turns and walks away. Andy closes the door and makes his way back to the kitchen.

Nathan Jones- "What was that about?"

Andy sits down at the table and looks at Nathan as Anna, Sarah, and Henry look at them.

Andy Rod- "He told me the house was mine for the weekend because he's visiting my grandpa."

Sarah Jones- "Oh cool."

Henry stands up and grabs his coffee cup, he makes his way to the sink and dumps it down the drain and rinses the cup out and places it in the sink. He looks at the clock then to everyone.

Henry Jordans- "Okay, let's get this graduation done and over with."

Everyone finishes eating and makes their way to the door, Nathan and Andy hurry up the stairs and into Nathan room. They grab their cap and gowns and hurry back down the stairs and out to the car.

As Henry, Nathan, Andy, Sarah, and Anna drive to the high school for the graduation ceremony Andy asked if the radio could be turned on. Anna turns on the radio to the news channel as a reporter's voice is heard, Nathan asks to turn it up, Anna, with a smile on her face, turns it up as the reporter speaks. The report was about the accident with Miss. Rebel.

Reporter- "Thanks, Bob. We are here on the outskirts of town, the road people are refusing to go down after an incident involving the high school teacher. The girl was said to be in her mid to late twenties and had a tag on that belong to the Micro-labs Central Science Facility that belongs to Mr. Dan Valentine, only one known high school teacher worked there. Right now they're pulling her body from the car wreck, the name tag said it was a Miss Emily Rebel..."

The reporter's voice fades as Nathan, Andy, and Sarah sit back with sadness look on their faces, Andy begins to get mad looking out the window. They pull up to the high school as the other senior class students begin walking to the school, some students had their cap and gowns on, others just wore the cap. Henry stops the car and parks it, everyone gets out as Nathan and Andy get out they put their gown on. Everyone walks to the school doors as Nathan holds the doors open for everyone. A girl with long brown hair catches his attention when she walked past him, she smelled like a sweet perfume. The girl made eye contact with him when she walked by, then she vanished into the crowd of people entering the building. Andy walks passed Nathan before speaking.
