Nathan Jones

Scene 9 "It's time"

{Hospital}

Several hours go by as Nathan wakes up in a hospital bed. The radio overhead was talking about the notorious murder that took place the following night involving the high school dance.

Reporter- "The Columbus high school was viciously attacked during the senior graduation dance last night. People report seeing a girl with a dirty lab coat shooting sand off of her body. Unfortunately, there was no sign of any damage or even a footprint, all that was left was a small pile of sand that people say was a sign from the mysterious killer. If you see or hear any suspicious activity report it in as the killer is still at large.

The radio fades as Nathan notices Megan, Henry, and Anna sitting in the room. Anna and Henry were sleeping, he looks over at Megan who was reading a magazine with her legs crossed. He scanned the room and looks outside at the blue sky for a moment before turning and looking back at Megan.

Nathan Jones- "Do I get a redo on that date? (Megan looks at him smiling) Owe why does my head hurt?"

Megan Topps- (From the chair whispers) "Hey."

Nathan sat up holding his head while Anna and Henry move slightly in chairs on the far side of the room. Megan gets up and walks over to Nathan, she had a mirror in hand. Nathan's eyes widened with fear and worry.

Megan Topps- "Nathan, something bad happened to you."

Nathan looked at her in worry and in panic. She sits on the side of the bed gently.

Nathan Jones- "What happened to me? Tell me."

Megan brings up the mirror showing Nathan his face, showing him his normal face. Nathan leans towards the mirror quickly, he began feeling his face for any cuts or bruises.

Megan Topps- "Yeah, you're still as good looking as normal. That's the problem."

Nathan lies back down slowly, he looked at her with a bit of a smile on his face. Megan places the mirror on the other side of her and hugs him, Nathan hugs her back while talking.

Nathan Jones- "Hey? Where's Andy why did he come, and Sarah, where's she?"

Megan lets go of Nathan, picking up the mirror and heads back to her seat. Sitting down Megan crosses her legs.

Megan Topps- (Looking at the magazines) "Nathan, Andy's in the room next door."

Nathan Jones- (Looking worried) "What happened to him, and Sarah? Where's she?"

Nathan sits up on the bed slowly again while looking at Megan she looks back at him.

Megan Topps- (Looking at him) "A meteor went through your garage. If it wasn't for Andy's scream Henry and Anna wouldn't have woken up, Sarah was driving to a friends house when a semi tailed the car, the meteor that went through your house landed a few feet from the car. It threw concrete at the car and Sarah..."

Megan tears up while pausing and gets up and walks over to him hugging him as he sits there looking in sorrow, he gently pushes her off of him, he pulls the IV out of his arm as he begins trying to get out of the bed as Anna and Henry wake up. Nathan sees his partially charred sweater sitting on the chair Megan was sitting in. He walks over and grabs it as Anna, and Henry stands up stretching and yawning. Nathan begins making his way to the hallway and to the room Andy was in, doctors and nurses tried forcing him back to his room, but he just kept walking. He enters as he sees Andy's body covered in bandages. Nathan looks at the covered body in shame.

Nathan Jones- "It's my fault, if I was there I could've saved him. (Megan looks at him in shame) I'm not implying the date went bad."

Megan Topps- "Nathan, even if you weren't with me this still would've happened. It's not your fault."
