~Six~

Amelia finished setting the table as Emily carried all the food over. Luna busied herself by cleaning up in the kitchen after all the cooking and Tyler carried out drinks. "Alright, all set, now we just need the guys to get here and-oh, just in time." Amelia smiles as the guys walk out of the woods. None of them look pleased.

"You guys took awhile, did everything work out okay?" Tyler asks as Jared walks over to her and wraps his arms around her. Paul walks over to Luna and pulls her into his arms, Luna wraps her arms around his waist and her head on his chest. Sam wraps an arm around Emily.

"Did everything work out?" Amelia asks as Embry stands beside her.

"Jake phased." Jared says.

"And?" Amy asks.

"And he isn't going to join us, so let's eat." Paul says gruffly.

"Wait, join us as in to eat lunch or join us as in as a pack."

"Don't worry, Ams, he means for lunch." Jared says. "But... on the wolf thing... he's pissed."

"How pissed?" Luna asks.

"He's pissed that Embry and Amy didn't tell him anything and even more pissed to find out that Amy has been apart of the pack the whole time." Amy's jaw drops.

"He's pissed because I joined you guys first and never told him about anything?" The guys stare at her already seeing the anger in her eyes.

"Uh..." Jared says.

"Well..." Paul stutters.

"Look, Amy...." Sam tries.

"Where is he?" No one answers. "Samuel Uley, where the hell is he?"

"Uh... home." All eyes fall on Embry. They all give him looks that says quite clearly, 'you're an idiot'.

Amy doesn't say anything as she turns and heads into the house. "Amy, wait, think about this first." Jared says as he hurries after her.

"I am thinking."

"What are you thinking exactly?" Luna asks hesitantly.

"How good it'd be to rip him to pieces."

"But isn't he supposed to be our new alpha?" Tyler asks.

"Oh, he said no to that." Embry says. "He wants Sam to lead."

"Well, at least he did something right." Amy snarls.

"Amy-

"If you try to stop me, Paul, I will kill you. Without hesitation." They know that Amy wouldn't actually do that, but they still chose to stop following her.

She storms out of the house and heads for the Black household. As she bangs on the door, Billy opens it and holds out a hand. "I want no fighting in my house. He's out back. Go out there and fight with him." She nods and walks through the house and head outside.

"What are you doing here?" Jake asks as he sees her, but she doesn't say anything as she walks up to him and hits him as hard as she can, causing him to tumble back, holding his jaw. "What the fuck, Amy?!"

"Oh, so you're mad because I am a pack member before you! Oh, you're mad that I didn't tell you! Oh, you're mad that I did what I did! You, Jacob Black have no right to be mad at me!" The pack stands on the back deck, watching at the sight before them. Amy walks up to Jake and pushes him, causing him to tumble to the ground.

"Amy-

"You have no fucken right to be pissed at me, Jake! All I have ever done was be there for you! I was there for you through all the crap at school! I was there for you when you lost your mom! I was there for you for everything!"

"Yeah and then you ditched me!" Jake screams.

"I ditched you?! I found out the woman who hated me, wasn't even my mother! I found out my father cheated on that bitch for my mother! I found out that I was some wolfish freak and that my sole purpose in life is to hunt down vampires and protect the reservation! I found out my imprint is a guy two years younger than me! My best friend told me to pick between my destiny and him! Then when I picked he ditched me! You and Quil both!  So don't you fucken dare tell me that you're mad at me!" The entire pack watched, frozen in shock. No one said anything. No one knew what to say.

Jake stares at Amy in total shock, watching as angry tears ran down her face. "I..." Jake trails off, unsure what to say.

"Don't even bother to speak. You deciding not to be alpha is the best thing in the world because you could never ever be a leader. Say what you want about Sam, but he has been more of a friend to me than you ever have and go ahead and ask the pack because any day, hands down, we'd follow Sam into battle versus you." She speaks with such venom in her voice that it causes the entire pack to flinch. She turns and looks at the pack standing on the deck. "This is my family, Jake, not you." It's her last words to him before she heads up the steps. The pack all follow after her and head back to Sam. None of them say a word because they don't have to. They all know what each other are thinking and that is that no matter what happens it's Amy and Sam both that they'd follow into battle even if death was a guaranteed.
