You looked out at the wasteland that surrounded you. It reminded you of her, the way that it all seemed to be taken over by the wild. You looked at the lake in front of you and smiled, the gentle waves looking like a stark contrast from the wild and untamed brush and nature around it.

"Y/n." Luna said walking up behind you. "What are you doing?"

"Thinking, watching the waves." You said and she glanced at you, smiling a bit to herself. She loved the water, especially here for some reason. She claimed to have never been to this lake before, but she still seemed to be happiest here when you decided to take a detour. "This place reminds me a lot of you."

"How?" She asked, a curious look to her face.

"Anybody walking by wouldn't expect such peaceful waters. They'd see the untamed and wild nature surrounding it and most likely back away, expecting something to emerge from it and attack or hurt them. But then if you wait and go further in, you see this lake, peaceful and nurturing, just like you." You said and she kissed you softly.

"For a criminal, you are a poet." Luna said and you rolled your eyes.

"The gentle waves of the lake inspire me." You said smiling. "As do the gentle waves of my lover."

"Turn it down a couple notches." Luna said and you rolled your eyes. She'd picked up on quite a few slang terms from you and while it was weird to hear them coming from her, you did love it.
