"Kara, can you hear me?" J'onn's voice came through my Comm.

"Yeah, what happened?" I went to stand up but there was a massive supporter beam on my stomach. "Lena's building! Oh, Rao!" I finally realised what had happened. As strong as I was, I couldn't lift the beam off of me.

"Are you okay?"

"I am fine, not injured, just stuck." I laughed at my stupidity. Of course, I was going to get stuck, what did I expect? I had tried to hold up half of a skyscraper, using all of my strength, then I Solar Flared. Typical.

"Can you move?" I sighed, I couldn't move anything below my waist. Must just be because of the beam.

"Yeah," I lied.

"Kara, I can tell you are lying, what is going on?" He sounded concerned, I tried to lie again, telling him that I was fine. He once again told me he knew something was up.

"J'onn, I can't move my legs. I will be okay once I get my powers back, don't worry."

"Kara, I am worried. I have convinced the new DEO director to come help you get out. The team should be there soon." Then the Comms disconnected and I was left in silence.

J'onn POV

The Comms cut out and I sprung into action, contacting the director to make the rescue team get there faster. When I got off the phone with the director, I noticed that I felt a presence similar to Alex's.

"J'onn, " Alex's voice was in my head, taunting me. "J'onn, keep her safe. Make sure she keeps fighting!"

"Alex?" I mumbled, making sure no-one heard me.

"J'onn?" Kara's cry came through the comms.

"Kara! Is everything okay?"

"J'onn, I think I am hearing things. I don't know, I thought I hear Alex just now. She said 'Hold on' and told me everything will be okay."

"We will figure this out, what is going on? Is the team there yet?" I didn't hear a response for a while. I convinced myself that the Comms had cut out again.

"J'onn! I'm scared."

"Thank God!" I said, "Kara, what just happened?"

"The building collapsed a little more. I feel like the walls are closing in! J'onn!" She screamed and then nothing. I heard deafening silence from her end. Then a loud bang and the sound of the team from the DEO on her comms.

Almost ten minutes later, the team arrived back at the DEO with Kara on a stretcher. I ran to her side. They had a tube down her throat and she was already hooked up to machines. I told them about the Sun-Lamps and that she needed the radiation to heal. They took my advice and a few hours later, Kara walked out of the room to where I was sitting.

Kara POV

"J'onn!" I said, giving him a huge smile and hugging him as tight as I could.

"You're okay?"

"I am fine. I had a few broken ribs and... my spine was broken. But I am healed now, all is fine. I am going to head to my apartment, get some rest. Could you get in contact with Catco and tell them that Supergirl is okay?"

"Sure thing. I am coming to check on you tomorrow, you don't get a choice."

"Fine." With that, I flew off.

I wasn't far from my apartment when I was suddenly falling, I could see a blue light under me. I braced for the inevitable impact with the ground but it never came. I softly landed on the floor of my apartment, but it looked different, some furniture was in different places, it was cleaner than how I had left it.
