Lena POV
I woke to the sound of my phone ringing loudly, I looked at the time and saw it was almost eight o'clock. Had I really been sleeping for this long? I answered the phone to Kara yelling.
"Lena! Help!" I was scared beyond scared. "Lena! Lex has escaped! Help!" Escaped from prison? The most secure prison there is?
"Where are you? Kara?" She didn't answer and the line went dead. I quickly called Alex on the emergency phone.
"I know, Lena, I know!" She said as soon as she picked up.
"Why aren't you doing anything?" I yelled.
"Lena, stay calm, Kara is okay, she was wearing her suit when she was abducted, we can see her vitals."
"We need to get Lex back behind..." Alex cut me off
"Lena, come here, now!" I hung up and rushed out the door but was stopped dead in my tracks at the bottom of the lift.
"Hello, good little sister!"
"Hello, evil older brother." I tried to seem tough, failing but trying to keep the image clear.
"How are you?"
"Where is Kara?"
"She is safe, sort of!"
"What do you mean?"
"I gave her an injection... of Kryptonite!" I covered my mouth with my hand, trying to hide the fear. "She is at your precious DEO, probably dying." I ran past him, not caring that he now had access to my entire building, I just needed to see Kara!
"Lena..."
"Where is she?"
"In here..." Alex looked really upset. She took me to a room where Kara was laying on a bed, awake but in a lot of pain.
"Lena! Hey, what... what are you... doing here?" She was gasping for air but still trying to be happy and her usual self.
"Kara, just rest."
"Lex, he... he is... going to come... after... you."
"I know, just get some rest. Explain everything when you are healed." She nodded and closed her eyes, then her breathing stabilised and she looked peaceful.
She woke up an hour later. She was still not healed but she looked better, I grabbed her hand when she breathed in quickly and jolted awake.
"Hey, Lena!" She sat up.
"Try not to move too much."
"Lex basically tortured me. He injected me with Kryptonite and just to see how much it affected me, he tortured me."
"Oh my god!" I stood and moved a chair closer to the bed, holding Kara's hand while I sat down.
"You have one evil older brother!" I laughed, then frowned, realising that it was the first thing I had said to Lex after, I don't even know how long.
"I am feeling fine, can I go now? I want to go home!"
"Kara, you can't..." I tried to think of the best way to tell Kara that her apartment blew up.
"Can't what?"
"Go home... your apartment is gone..."
"What?" She sat up further and groaned.
"Slow down, honey!"
"Honey?"
"I don't know, it just happened..."
"Like my apartment blowing up?" She laughed, then started crying. She was shaking violently. I hugged her as best as I could while she was in the bed.
"Kara?" Alex ran through the doorway. I smiled and mouthed a goodbye, letting Alex and Kara catch up for a few minutes before yelling Alex's name when Lex fell through the roof, unconscious. Alex ran out and Kara followed close behind. Grimacing out of pure hatred when she saw Lex.
Alex handcuffed my brother immediately and rolled him over. He had a wicked smile on his face, one that told me this situation was worse than it seemed.
"You guys never know a trap when one is thrown at you!" He yelled. I heard a slight beeping from his clothes then saw Kara fly him back out of the building. My world froze and after what seemed like hours, she landed back on the floor.
"Kara!" I ran to her, she flinched when I hugged her and I jumped back.
"I'm okay, Lex, however..."
"I kind of figured he wouldn't make it out."
"He is alive, he should be landing back down soon." As if in a movie, she flew up slightly and caught Lex just before he fell through the roof. She dropped him like a ragdoll on the ground. I didn't even bother to see if he was okay, I just put my arm around my wife's waist to hold her up.
"Kara, you need to come rest." I tried to take Kara to the medical bay but she was as stubborn as ever.
"Not until I know he is locked up!"
"He will be!" Alex said and got a few agents to grab him and drag him to a cell room. Kara insisted that we follow and make sure everything goes smoothly so I helped her and we watched as Lex woke up.
"I thought you would kill me, honestly, I did." He snickered as he watched me hold Kara up.
"Supergirl doesn't kill!" Kara yelled. I didn't want him to get to me but he was if he hurt Kara...
"Why did you kill my mother? Oh, yes. I heard about that. The world doesn't even know, I wonder what it would be like if the world found out!"
"You can't do much while you are in here!"
"Actually, I can!" He stood up and the door opened. Kara took a step backwards and I took one forward, trying to protect her. "Step back little sister, I don't want to have to hurt you!"
"You want to hurt Kara, that is hurting me..."
"Look, I am sorry." He looked down. "Truly, sorry!" He shot lightning from his fingers and hit the wall. "Dammit, I miss every time!"
"What the hell?" I said, Kara put her hands on my shoulders and whispered 'I love you' in my ear. She ran towards Lex and flew him through the roof, leaving a hole and me behind.
Kara POV
I picked Lex up just before he could hurt Lena and I flew him to the fortress.
"Kal-Ex!" I yelled. He came straight to me and picked up Lex.
"Lex Luthor. You almost killed Superman. I was given orders to kill on sight!" Kal-Ex had Lex in a vice grip. This was one of the only exceptions to my rule about not killing. Lex needed to die.
"Kal-Ex! Do it!" I flew away as soon as Kal-Ex snapped Lex's neck. I didn't have to see anything else, I just needed to see it for a second, see him die.
