Earth 90 - Supercorp

Screams

(Two weeks later)

"You are safe," I said to a civillian I had just pulled from a burning building as I layed him on a stretcher. I flew back to the building and did the same for all the others. I then used by freeze breath to get rid of most of the flames.

"We got this Supergirl!" A firefighter yelled up to me. I flew to my next job, hearing the scream and going straight there. I arrived at the rebuilt L-Corp and saved a beautiful girl who was falling from the roof. I gently put her on the ground and asked Lena what happened.

"Supergirl!" She said.

"What happened, Miss Luthor?"

"Just my rail broke and I slipped."

"Okay, so you aren't in any danger otherwise?"

"No, unless someone sabotaged it but I have been in my office for the past few days, no-one could have. Probably just getting old and needed to be replaced."

"Okay, have a nice day." I turned, ready to fly off but Lena caught me by surprise.

"I miss you..."

"You are the one who dumped me, you are the one who got mad about how I lie to everyone and..."

"Kara, I didn't mean it!" She walked closer to me, our bodies were pressed up against each other. I flinched away and stumbled backwards, almost falling over. I felt like my face was bright red and my heart was beating fast.

"Lena, I don't..." She kissed me, I kissed back and picked her up. I carried us up to her balcony and we burst through the doors with our lips still locked on each other's. She pulled away and looked at me quizzically.

"How will I take your clothes off?" She giggled and I pulled my cape off, unzipping my cosume and letting it fall to the floor. Lena frowned. "But I wanted to be the one..." I kissed her to shut her up, simultaniously trying to take her bra off under her shirt. I finally got it and slipped her shirt off, taking her bra with it. We fell onto her couch.

Lena POV (the next day)

Kara and I weren't officially together yet, but I knew she wanted me back now. It was just a matter of time before I would break her heart again, hopefully I wouldn't. I couldn't handle losing her and last time couldn't sleep or work. I was a mess. I picked up my phone and dialed Kara's number.

"Lena, hey!" She said on the other end of the phone

"Kara, I need you! Say you will Marry me. Say you want to spend the rest of your life with me!"

"Lena, I am coming over, open your window." Supergirl came in a moment later. "Lena, last night was a mistake. I don't know if I can handle being with you after..."

"But I want you! I need you!" I pleaded, about to get on my knees to visibly beg.

"Lena, I can't wake up every morning next to the daughter of the woman I killed. That was the worst mistake I had ever made, killing Lillian. I can't be with you after everything I have done. You are going to get hurt!"

"I don't care! All I want is you!"

"But I don't want you!"

Kara POV

I could barely breathe after telling Lena what I did. She didn't deserve what I said to her, I knew that. I just needed her to be safe, keeping her safe is my top priority. I could feel my heart screaming for control of my body and I fought it off as long as I could.

"Lena, I love you!" I ran at her and pushed her to the couch. Once again doing what I told myself I would never do again. Lena and I stayed still on her couch afterwards and talked for a few hours. It was midday when we heard a massive bang downstairs and screams coming from all directions in the building.

(Later That Day)

Lena was working when I woke up. I don't know why I passed out, maybe from exhaustion. I sat up and immediately layed down again. My head was pounding and my whole body was aching.

"Hey, are you okay?" Lena came towards me.

"What happened?"

"An alien attacked downstairs and you blew out your powers using your heat vision." She handed me a glass of water and a pill.

"Pain releif doesn't work on me, but thanks anyways." I took the water and skulled it. I felt dizzy but I stood up anyway, searching for my phone. Lena held it up.

"Are you looking for this?" She gave it to me. "Alex called and I told her what happened. She was worried but I told her you would call her when you woke up." I looked for my sister's contact and had a much needed chat with her. 

"Hey Alex!" I tried to sound happy and not like I had just lost my powers.

"Are you okay? Tell me everything is fine!"

"I am alive at least." I looked at Lena.

"What does that mean? You're not okay, are you?"

"I am fine, Alex! A-Okay!"

"I don't believe you, but I trust that Lena will look after you." I was still staring at the love of my life.

"She has so far!" I suddenly felt really tired, "I am going to go sleep now. I love you!"

"I love you too, Kara. Anything you need, just call." With that, she hung up. I put my phone on the coffee table and lay back down. Lena knelt next to me and went to give me a kiss on the cheek but I turned my face at last minute and we kissed for a second before my vision went blurry and I blacked out.

I woke up sveral hours later and sat up. I felt better, the aching had stopped but I still had no powers. Lena was still awake on her laptop and when I looked at the time, it was almost midnight.

"Lena, you should sleep."

"I haven't slept for days, I think I can go one more night."

"What are you doing?" I stood and walked to her desk. Being closer, I could see dark circles under her eyes and her exhaustion was written all over her face. I sat with a huff on the chair infront of her desk when she refused to tell me what she was working on.

"Kara, you should get some more rest."

"Now I am more intrigued." I got up and walked behind her. She shut her laptop and it made me angry. "What can't I know? You don't hide things from me..."

"Kara, it is just... work," Lena was getting on my nerves.

"Lena, what is it?" I quickly grabbed her laptop and opened it, revealing an email she had sent to...

"Alex?"

"We are planning a party for you that doesn't involve you getting kidnapped. We want to redo Earth Birthday."

"So, you weren't hiding anything huge from me?"

"No! Of course not! I love you too much, Kara. I would always tell you the truth!"

"Promise?" I leaned in for a kiss and she complied.

"I swear to Rao!"

Sorry for the short-ish chapter, I am kind of struggling to write this because I know what I am going to do later but have no clue how to do things until then. I am going to keep this short, thank you for reading and have fun with this one, it isn't as... emotional as Arakmuraya. Basically from now on, it is happy and joyful and stuff.
