Chapter 8

Kenzie's POV
I turn the corner to see my boyfriend.
Johnny Orlando,
With my sister.
"Kenzie! It's great to see you" she said and came to hug me. I just stood there motionless, and when she pulled from the hug she sensed it.
"Everything okay?" She asked.
"How could you do this to me?" I said directly to Johnny, my voice about to crack from the tears.
"I can explain" Johnny said, but I ran.
"Kenzie!" Said Johnny as he ran after me, but I kept running.
Didn't even say hi to my dad, thanks Johnny.
Johnny's POV
Eventually I gave up and went back to her house.
"Maddie, can I talk to you in private?" I said.
She looked confused but nodded.
We went outside and she said "Johnny what was that?"
I hesitated for a minute, but then started to speak.
"Kenzie and I had been dating for a year" I told her.
Her mouth dropped, and anger filled her face.
She slapped me and I rubbed the red spot she left.
"Maddie, I love Kenzie, you are a great girl, but this was a mistake and I need her back" I said.
She didn't say anything, she just stood there, a couple tears coming out.
She walked away, and I knew there was only one thing to do, go tell Kenzie that I love her.
Kenzie's POV
I ran to Brynn's house and we went to the dance together. After a while of just watching her and Zack, she could tell I was miserable.
"Zack, I really need to be with Kenzie, she had a bad night" she told Zack.
He nodded and kissed her on the cheek before telling her he would call later and walking away.
"Let's go" Brynn said.
"No Brynn I totally ruined your evening with Zack" I said.
She gave me a smile and said "it was a good night while it lasted, plus, friends come first" she said.
I smiled and we both went to her house.
We got in our PJS and watched movies the rest of the night.
What a great best friend I have.
