--3rd POV/ Narrator's POV--
Ayato and Laito were being their usual mischievous selves, as they were listening in on Reiji and Shu's conversation.
Reiji and Shu were too engulfed into their conversation to notice some eavesdropping brothers.
Ayato and Laito looked at each other in a sort of 'whoa' kind of way as they listened to the conversation more and more.
So here's how that conversation went.
Reiji and Shu walked into the room as Shu shut the door behind him.
Reiji stood there with crossed arms as he pushed his glasses up. His face had an 'I'm not a happy camper' look. Maybe he's just tired? Pfff....yeah right.
"Well..." Reiji said breaking the silence, but you could hear the irritation in his voice.
"Don't start with me, you know it was necessary" Shu retorted with a sassy tone.
"Do I now? And why do you think that it's best to put us all on father's bad side? Especially considering we were supposed to keep Catarina safe and she's still healing." Reiji snapped back with a sassy tone of his own.
(A/N: Oh no he didn't! Mhhhmmmmm...you tell 'em girlfriend *snaps fingers in 'Z' formation* ^u^ I had to...I regret nuttin'...nuttin' I tell ya! >u<)
Its sass off...sassy battle round 1 fight! Ok ok...getting back on track.
"His bad side doesn't concern me as much as whom our 'guest' really is." Shu stated in his calm but kind of still irritated with Reiji type of tone.
"And what have you found out then? I hope it was worth risking his wrath" Reiji said in his stern voice.
"It was worth it. We know she's from that corporation that some human named Dr. Voss owns but what we don't know is who she was going to target next..." Shu said in a 'ha!' kind of tone.
Reiji raised an eyebrow with intrigue since it wasn't too long ago he asked a similar question to Catarina herself but was reluctant to tell them.
"I see I've peaked your interest now then huh?" Shu pointed out with a slight smirk as if he just gained the upper hand or one-upped him.
"Yes indeed..." Reiji said as he rested his chin against his hand in an 'I'm thinking' kind of pose.
"Why...what do you know?" Shu was now interested as well.
"Well, on our way to Miss N's apartment I question Catarina about her in-depth knowledge of pure bloods in particular..." Reiji continued.
"Aaaand...?" Shu interjected with impatience.
Reiji doesn't like being interrupted so his face held a bit of annoyance in it.
"...I asked how is it that she knew so much and who her target was since such knowledge for an assassin could only mean one thing..." Reiji stated still pondering.
