Chapter 18.

I woke up to a phone ringing. But it wasn't mine. I stayed there. Didn't move.

" hello?" Kane answered.

" Nicole?"
" what?"
" I'll be right there." Kane said and got out of my bed. And got dressed and was out the door . I still had his shirt on.
I felt tears falling. But I don't know why.

I stay in bed. For what seems like hours. I wanted to call Alex.. my mom even, but I decided to stay in bed. For now.

" your still in bed?" Chloe asks.
" yeah " I whispered.

" come on. Let's go shopping." Chloe smiles and I drag my but out of bed.

" fine." I spoke.

I got dressed and grabbed my wallet and keys. I left my phone there. I do not want to talk to him. Or anyone. All but Chloe.

" what's wrong?" " what did he do" Chloe said as she got into my car.

" who's nicole?" I asked.
" you know him better than I do. So who is she?" I ask.

Chloe looks taken back. Shocked.

" why?" She asked.

" she called Kane this morning.." I say.

" oh no. If I tell you who she is, you can't tell him I told you. " she spoke.

I only nod.

" Nicole, was Kane's first love. She and him was together years. She cheated on him so many times. Kane was in love with her. She had him under a spell. She got pregnant.. Kane's baby. She and him got into a fight and Kane got into his car.. and was going to leave. But she got into the car too. They was fighting the whole time while he was driving and he looked at her for a second. He wrecked into another car and she and the baby was hurt. Kane was too. But the baby... didn't make it.. but she didn't care. She didn't want the baby. She only wanted Kane to stay.. but she kept cheating..  so he left her.. hasn't seen her since till... now.." Chloe said. My heart dropped.

Kane and I are nothing now.
Nicole's back into the picture.
I'm happy for him... I think to myself.

" oh." Is all I can say.

We pull up too the mall and we both get out. We walk into manu stores.

I bought new dresses, tops, dressy tops,
Jeans, shorts, and shoes. We walk into Victoria Secret and bought some things in there too.

" hungry?" She asked. I nod.

We walk to the food court and go to the pizza place. I love pizza.  She orders for us and I find a table.

" Juliette, don't be so down. I know you like Kane. He's always been wrapped around her finger. It may not be it either. " she says to me. I nod.

" it's just..Alex cheated and Kane left without saying bye.. it's just to much for me to handle I guess." I fake smile. She nods.

" let's go back. " she smiles. I nod.

We get back to the dorms.
" let's go out. It's a Friday night." She smiles. " Brandon and Kane may come too." She smiles.
I shake my head no.
I'd rather be alone..

" oh well if you change your mind, text me." She smiles and leaves.

I'm all alone. I check my phone. Nothing. Nothing at all.
