My phone started buzzing. I opened my eyes to see it was my alarm. I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes, then stretching, some bones popping here and there. It's Friday, nothing big should happen, hopefully. I pray in my head. I go upstairs, take a shower and get ready for what school has to come. But just before going out, I remembered what Craig had said. I threw my school bag on the couch and run back up to the bathroom. "He said my eyes changed," I reach the mirror and only see my dark brown eyes. I try to force them to change, but they wouldn't. "Damnit!" I yell, looking away. I looked back up to see them golden. "So he was right! Awesome!" I thought for a second, what if I just relax? I looked in and didn't force it as much. It worked. The dark brown of my eyes came back. Starting in the middle and spidering out, until it was the one and only color. I did it again, and the same with the gold. "That's so cool!" I had a huge stupid grin. I changed my eyes back, then ran back downstairs to grab my bag and go to school.

Once I got there, I made sure I didn't forget my beany, and walked in and straight to the Principal's. "Hello, how can I help you?" He asked.

"Ummm, I'm Jon. I just, moved, and had a really hopeful request."

"Uh, sure. What is it?" Well, here it goes.

"I know it's against school policy, but can I keep the beany on?" He gave me a confused look.

"Why?"

"Well," I carefully took it off, showing my broken ear.

"Oh. Yeah, of course. I'll make sure to tell your teachers about it as soon as possible."

"Thank you," he smiled and nodded. I put it back on and walked out and to my first class. History. I already knew where the rooms were, me and Craig would come here for games sometimes, and during half-time we'd wander the halls. I walked in and saw really no one. True, there was still 2 minutes left. I sat in the back right corner of the room, second to the wall. I couldn't learn in the front and I couldn't hear well out of my right ear. I already know most of the history, because I'm a nerd and like it so I know most all it. So I grabbed my sketch book, pen and pencil and started drawing.

The bell rang and kids started filling the room. I looked up, looking at who walked in, and my eyes caught one in perticiler. The first thing I saw was he was really tall, but he had ears and tail of a white tiger and bright blue eyes. I looked away as quick as I saw him. Please not next to me. Please not next to me. I thought, but in reality, I wanted him to sit next to me. I go back to my drawing, and when I sensed movement next to me, I glaced over, and he was next to me.

"Alright," the teacher said, "so before we get started, we have a new student in class." Fuck I hate this part! "Jonathan, would you like to tell us a little about yourself?"

"With all respect," I look up, "no."

"Fine, Jonathan. Tell us something about yourself." She didn't ask this time.

"Fine, don't call me Jonathan. It's Jon," I look back down and continue.

"Okay then," she dropped the situation and went on to the lecture. Half-way through the class, I was just finishing my drawing, when the teacher called me. "Jonathan...Jon, what are you doing?"

"Drawing. What're you doing?"

"I'm trying to teach you and class. Put the book away and focus. And remove the hat."

"I can put the book away, but the hat stays."

"Ummm, no. It goes against school policy."

"Ummm, no. The Principal said I can keep it."

"Take it off, or go to the office."

"I'm not a bad student. Please stop treating me like one. I'm telling you, I'm allowed to keep it."

"Office. Now," she pointed. I rolled my eyes. I throw my pencil in between my sketch book and put it in my bag. I get up and walk out, not before taking a quick last glance at the cute guy, that sat next to me.
