Jon

"Hey," he said tiredly. I didn't know what to, all I could do was stare. "What?" He sat up, wincing slightly and grabbed his back.

"What's wrong?" I asked panicked. Tyler shook his head.

"Nothing, it's nothing." I knew something else, but didn't push.

"Okay," I said. I saw his ears twitch again. He must've noticed, cause he looked up and back to me, smiling.

"What's so cool about them?"

"Ummm, I don't know." I shrugged, "I guess they just are." My hand subconsciously raised up and felt it. I tried to stop myself, but couldn't. Tyler didn't make any sort of motion to stop me either. "They're soft," I thought out load. Tyler gave a small chuckle.

"Yeah? What about yours?" He asked. I froze, then pulled my hand back. "You okay?" He asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Tyler grabbed at his back again with another wince. "Are you sure you're okay?"

"Yeah," he groaned, rolling his shoulders.

"Ty!" I heard Evan yell. Then both Evan and Craig walked into the doorway. Evan's eyes went wide as he saw Tyler holding his back. "You wanna help make breakfast with us Jon?" He asked after nodding at Tyler. I looked at Tyler then back at the two.

"Sure.. Actually, I uh, I should probably get going." I got up, walked passed Craig and Evan, and downstairs, heading out the door.

Tyler

"What was that about?" I asked, and the two shrugged.

"Anyway, we'll let you do your thing," Evan said. Craig looked at us confused.

"You can tell him. But please don't let Jon find out. I'm fine with freaking out your boyfriend, but I don't wanna freak out Jon."

"Okay cool! Come on Craig." Evan then walked out with his arm over Craig. Once they closed the door, I rolled my shoulders, stretched my back, and my wings opened. I got out of bed to fully expand them, and moved them around freely. Almost as to wake them up. Everyday, if it's not just me and my brother in the house, I have to fold them tightly against my back so no one knows. There's almost no one that has more than one type of animal in them. Mine, tiger and owl.

Once my wings weren't as tense as they were I folded them back, not as tightly, I got changed and headed downstairs.

"Hey Ty! You feeling better?" Evan asked.

"Yea. A lot," we laugh. Craig looked at me weird. "What?"

"Nothing, nothing." Craig walked back into the kitchen.

"I told him, and now he's just acting weird." Evan told me.

"Not true!" Craig called, "I just think you're full of bullshit is all." Craig walked out with three plates of food in hand and set it on the table.

"You really think Evan's lying?" We all sat at the table and started eating.

"Well duh. It's gotta be, it just seems to farfetched." I look at Evan and he grins. "What?" Craig asked. I rolled my shoulders and stretched my wings. I kept eating, Evan tried not to choke on his food as he looked at Craig's face. His mouth was dropped open and his eyes looked as if they were going to pop out of his head.

"See. I wasn't lying," Evan smiled and we both laughed.
