Tyler
"Are you sure you're okay?" I asked Jon. Just as our race was ending, I was t-boned and spun out, hitting Jon in the process. He hit the back of his so hard, he quit the last 2 laps. He told me that he literally couldn't see for a good two minutes, but it was back now.
"I promise I'm okay Tyler," he chuckled. "I am, however, going to have a drink or two before we leave." I nodded and decided to join him, though I wouldn't be drinking. I looked around for the two lovebirds, but couldn't find them. Probably making out or something in the bathroom. I thought. By the time I looked back at Jon, I saw four empty shot glasses in front of him, and another in his hand.
"Can I get you anything?" Amy asked me.
"Uh, just a water for this one," I motion to Jon.
"Sure thing. He's gonna need it if he keeps this pace up," she laughed, handing me the water. "Oh, and I'll take this for him and put it back when we close." She grabbed his helmet and set it under the counter. I thanked her, she smiled and walked off to help someone else.
"Okay Jon. I think you're good for the night on drinks." I told him, only getting a whine in response. "Come on, you can sleep off the hangover tonight and tomorrow."
"One more! One more!" He said, another bartender gave him two more shots. Of what? I have no idea.
"Jon, no," I tried to take the glasses but he moved them away.
"No touchy." He slurred. I gave him a look, and he shook his head. "These are mine. Get your own."
"Fine. Drink those and we're leaving. Oh, and drink the water please. Deal?"
"Fine," he whined. He downed his shots and chugged the water. At that point, Craig and Evan showed up.
"Ready to go?" Craig asked.
"Depends. Are you drunk?"
"No. I'm fine. But I'm guessing, he's drunk," he pointed to Jon, who was staring off into space with a big stupid, and adorable, smile.
"Little bit. He'll sleep it off. Besides, break starts tomorrow, so it makes everything tonight easier." I laugh.
"True true. Alright, let's go." Craig said. I grabbed Jon, him leaning on me for support, and we left. We all piled in the car and Jon was already half asleep.
"Can we take the long way? I'm not tired and I don't wanna go to bed yet." Evan asked. Craig looked at me, seeing what my answer would be. I nodded and he said we could take the long way.
Jon
As we started to leave the parking lot, I laid my elbow on the arm rest, and my head in my hand. I started to doze off, when I felt Tyler lean against the set and arm rest, and laid his head on mine. I smiled, and moved my other hand under my arm and onto the rest. Maybe. I was still drunk, it not that drunk. I felt my heart jump and my face heat up when Tyler set his hand on mine. I moved my hand to intertwined our fingers together, when I did he squeezed my hand and hummed. I smiled like an idiot, squeezing his hand back.
We stayed like that for a few minutes, until Tyler pulled away. I look at my confused and slightly sad. But that changed when he put up the arm rest and made a motion to move his arm around me. I slid closer, and let him wrap his arm around my waist. I lay against him, resting my head on his shoulder, and his head back on mine. "Hey," he whispered, "give me your hand." I gave him my hand, to his that was around my waist, and knotting our fingers together again. I smiled, then closed my eyes, drifting to sleep.
"Jon. Wake up," I heard someone say. "We're home." I open my eyes to see Tyler still sitting in the same spot. He was trying to get me up.
"No," I whine, moving to hold onto Tyler's torso.
"Come on. We gotta get you to bed." Tyler told me.
"No. I'm staying here." I groan.
"Ty, just stay here tonight. Jon's clearly not letting you go," Evan laughed.
"Will you get up if I stay with you?" I nodded. "Alright, let's go big baby." I groan again, then practically throwing myself out of the car. "See you guys later." He told the others, then walked over to me. "Okay, bedtime." I nod and we walk into my house.
"Can we stay up longer?" I asked Tyler.
"It's one in the morning."
"So. I don't wanna go to bed, and I need water." Tyler gave up and agreed to let me stay up. He had me sit on the couch while he got me the drink. He gave it to me, and sat down next to me. "Hey Tyler,"
"Yes?"
"I really like you." I smile at him.
"Is that you or the drunk talking?" Well to be honest, I wasn't really drunk anymore. If anything, it was the smallest buzz.
"It's me. The drunk helps, but it's me." He smiled back. "Do you like me? Like, really like me?" My smile fade, scared of the answer.
"Yes, I really like you." My smile returned, but it was more of a mischievous smile than anything. "What's going through your mind there Jon?"
"Oh, you'll see," I told him, swinging my legs to be on either side of his waist and my hands behind his neck.
