In the training room, two swords clashed.
One gorgeous girl, one seriously ugly boy - who totally needs some plastic surgery - went head to head.
Just in case you didn't know, I was the gorgeous girl (my name's Lisa Stone, if you wanted to know) and none other than Jamie Regall was the ugly boy.
It was the beginning of the second year and things were starting to feel somewhat normal.
Unfortunately for me, Jamie was somehow my study buddy for the second year running! (I swear someone tampered with the names!)
Anyway, today was the day when Jamie assesses my sword fighting skills; after being able to beat him once in hand to hand combat, he let me move onto sword fighting.
I swung my sword at Jamie, causing his sword to block my attack. He then swung at my thigh, which I gracefully dodged.
That's how most of our battle went: a choreographed dance battle _ like something from a musical. (Well, if it weren't for the fact that the two of us were both a sweaty mess)
After what felt like ages, I finally lost my footing, falling on my butt.
"I win!" Jamie cheered triumphantly as I rolled my eyes.
Then, I sprung up and slammed my sword against his, with such force that I took him by surprise.
"Actually," I said as I sent Jam's sword flying, "I won."
Jamie blinked in confusion before shaking his head and straightening his back.
"Well, that's enough for today, we'll move on to archery tomorrow," Jamie said.
He was clearly embarrassed. I could tell his cheeks were tinted a slight pink and his fists were clenched _ a habit Jamie did whenever he was embarrassed.
"Come on, you sore loser, let's meet up with the others," me and Jamie walked past the empty hallways of the royal's wing until we reached the main living area.
The living area was basically a massive living room with a dozen sofas and armchairs, a massive TV and a medium sized bookcase.
On the sofa was Sophie (almost an exact replica of Jamie but prettier), Maxine (with her dark brown eyes and dark hair with electric blue highlights) and Ash (with his light mud brown hair and hazel eyes ).
Maxine and Sophie were leaning forward, completely immersed in whatever they were watching. The two girls occasionally yelled angrily at the screen.
Ash, however, was dangling upsidedown and occasionally teleported from sofa to
"What's up?" I asked as as the others looked up from where they were _ Ash ended up falling off the sofa.
"Shut up!" Sophie whispered frustratedly as I muttered an apology.
Jamie walked behind the sofa and gave his sister a hug from behind. Ever since those two made up, they were practically inseparable.
I ginned at them before settling down on Ash's spot. (Or at least the one he just teleported to).
"Hey!" Ash yelled, only to be shushed by the Maxine and Sophie.
I turned my head towards the TV and realized they were watching some cheesy American sitcom.
I rolled my eyes before getting up and returning to the study room to do my homework.
I know that last time I wrote to you, I wasn't really described as the nerdy type (well I'm not) but I'm not really a troublemaker either and I'm certainly not a popular kid.
I still hate how sooo many books just stereotype schools _ I mean there is such thing as being in the middle, right?
Anyway, after finishing my homework, I took out some random fantasy book from one of the bookshelves and settled down for a read.
And of course, according to the rules of cliché books, I fell asleep, with my book still in my hands.
