"Deep breaths Lisa, deep breaths," Sophie said soothing, "deep breaths, it's gonna be fine."

I was sitting in front of my mirror and almost screamed in horror at the disaster above my head.

"I'm gonna die," I whispered. Honestly, I was terrified _ I could remember how much brushing my hair hurt last time.

"Don't worry buddy, I've got a plan," Sophie said attempting to calm me down.

To be honest, I think Sophie failed miserably at that _ all of Sophie's ideas so far that year involved my hair getting abused.

"LEO, BLAZE, GET OVER HERE!" Sophie yelled while I looked at her confusedly.

"What-" I was about to ask, however, Sophie ignored me and started barking orders at the two boys.

"NOW!" She yelled.

Suddenly, I felt boiling hot air blow against my hair. To be honest, I was surprised my hair didn't burn _ it was so hot!

After a few seconds, Sophie pushed the two boys away, kicked them out of my room and started brushing my hair.

Surprisingly, it didn't hurt as much as I expected it to. Hmm... probably some weird magic thingy that the two boys did.

Sometimes, I wondered if that woman was some sort of evil genius. Or maybe even a mad scientist. Either way, Sophie was definitely clever.

A couple of minutes later, Sophie was completely done. When I looked at the mirror, I couldn't help but let out a full-blown grin.

My hair was in perfect curls and looked incredibly silky. It wasn't dry either like it usually was!

I desperately wanted to squeeze the life out of Sophie _ who knew that genius could practically solve every one of my problems?

A few minutes later, while I was in the middle of brushing Sophie's hair, Maxine came in with a couple of bags.

"You've got the stuff?" I asked, turning to face Maxine.

"Of course," she replied dropping the bags onto my bed.

"Can you two not sound like a bunch of drug dealers?" Sophie asked, turning in her seat.

As you already know, the dress I chose for the ball was only knee-length so, I decided to create an illusion so the teachers wouldn't suspect anything.

However, so that it's not too obvious that I'm using my powers, Maxine decided to buy some contact lenses to cover my eyes. Whenever someone used their powers, their eyes glowed in some way which caused my plain brown eyes shifted to a bright silver.

Additionally, she brought her own and Sophie's gowns for them to change into later on.

Finally, after fixing Sophie's hair (it was in a bun if you wanted to know) we the moved onto Maxine.

After about half an hour, all three of us were putting on our dresses: Sophie was in the toilet, Maxine was in my walk-in closet and I was changing in my room.

When we were done, I spent a few minutes putting the contacts on. I then grabbed some of the snacks that Maxine brought for me and put them in a bag.

"There we go, I think we're ready," Sophie said, patting my back.

"The boy's are in the living room so let's hurry," Sophie then grabbed mine and Maxine's hands and dragged us to the living room.

I then quickly used my powers to create the illusion.

Everyone around me would see a beautiful silver ball gown with glitter all over the torso and extra sequins to outline the neckline and the bottom of the dress itself.
