One day Piper, who had short, straight brown hair, dark brown eyes was tall and slim and her mom Apryl, who has long black curly hair, is medium height and is a little over slim, woke up to see that her father was gone. Her mom, Apryl had to told her that he was gone and would never return. Piper didn't understand at first but later did when her mother didn't have her wedding ring on. She later went to school. Piper was talking to her friend. She only had two friends, one was named Alyssa. Alyssa has long straight amber hair with light brown eyes, is medium height and is slim. Her other friend is Emily. She had short light brown hair that is straight with a little wave at the ends and is short and slim. Alyssa noticed she was sad and ask her why she had told her. “My dad is gone, meaning my dad and mom are broken up”. Then the bell rang. Then they went to their classes. Her first, fourth and fifth classes were with Alyssa and second, third and sixth was with Emily. She had enjoyed that all of her classes had at least one friend in them. In art, Alyssa and Piper were quiet and they didn't talk. When it came to lunchtime Piper asked Alyssa why she wasn't talking to her. Alyssa told her that she just didn't have anything to say. Piper didn't believe her and, for the rest of the week they didn't talk to each other. After that they acted like nothing ever had happened It was on Halloween when Piper asked her mom if she could get a costume. She told her that she didn't know because money was a little tight but she would try to figure something out. Piper said okay. The next month was really hard. One day, when she was dressing down, Emily asked Piper why she had a bruise on her side. She told her that she had fell trying to move a box, which was true. She had fell when she was trying to move a heavy box. The box had hit her in the arm. Her mom Apryl helped her up. Emily asked her why she was moving the box. She told her because they were moving over to an apartment. Emily then asked her why she was moving and she screamed, “because we don't have enough money,” and walked away to next class. Luckily for Piper, her and Emily sat next to each other. They talked about what happen and then Emily said that she was sorry and so did Piper. At end of school, Piper got picked up by her mom and went to their new apartment, well, new to them. They had got an apartment only a couple blocks away from school so piper could walk to class every day. So her mom only had to use gas for work. It helped her mom out a lot and that was only thing Piper liked about her new place. At her old place she had more room, it wasn't as cold and now she has to do all the chores. Because Apryl spent all her time at work the only time she got to see her was when Apryl woke her up before she left for work and when they had dinner. Every day when she went to school her friends (mostly Emily) asked her what was wrong. She simply told them nothing is wrong, to leave her alone and to stop asking her this question. This went on for weeks until her friends stopped asking. One day Alyssa asked her if she could came over. Piper said, ”let me ask my mom but she probably say no because...”. Alyssa asked why. Piper said, “because nothing! I would tell you if I wanted to tell, but I just can't. I promise, I can’t tell anyone or else they will take me away from my mom and my mom didn't do anything.” Alyssa said alright. Over the week her grandma Michelle came for a visit. Michelle asked her where her mom was and she told her that she was working. Michele asked her if she does all of the work and she told her yes. Grandma said, “you know what? You are coming with me to my house. You can still see your mom but you are coming okay”. Piper said okay. It was on the walk from the car to her grandma's house, that she knew things were going to get better. Later in the school year, she had got better grades and Piper and her friends started to become best friends and act like nothing happened. She saw her mom on weekends and she enjoyed staying at her grandma’s until her mom’s work got better which it did. Soon she will be living with her mom again.
