I look down at the plain white door I lay down trying to look under the crack
I see a person walking I try to put my hand under the door
"Mommy?"
But I don't get notice I just continue to play with my fingers under the door crying out to her
I don't know how long I cry out for her or I just gave up but I notice there another dark mark on my carpet it from my tears
I sit myself starting at the door the plain white door
I go on my four lifting myself up I run up to the door kicking it
It hurt
I grab the handle twisting the knob
"Mommy I hurt myself. I not bad girl anymore, I promise. open the door! mommy, please. I need you, mommy.
Mommy!"
I twist the door more and more banging it but it doesn't open it never does
Why does the door hate me why does it like to keep me away from my mommy
I get my blanket from the bed and lay down
I cuddle against the door just in case mommy comes
My tummy starts to growl I can't sleep
I hungry but mommy doesn't answer me no one does but I hungry

I start to cry to empty cry

I grab my pillow and hit the door
"I hungry mommy"
I sniffle under the creak as the same feet walk by again followed by little feet
It's my baby brother
He runs fast giggling
"Mommy, I hear too I not bad girl I good girl mommy "
My baby brother just giggles he stops running and giggles I see hands pick him up and I cry more
"Mommy I hungry I thirsty I want to cuddle too mommy please please with a cherry on top please mommy "
I wipe my eyes
My head hurts

I get up again and I hurt my head against the door
"Mommy my head hurts"
I run to the other side and run back kicking the door
"Mommy! Please. Love me. Mommy. Please. I love you. why don't you love me? Why do only see once a day? Mommy. "
I try to turn the knob again
"I can be like a brother, please mommy let me try"
I grab my pillow throw it at the door and walk to my bed lay down cuddling with my blanket I just wish mommy loved me.
Then I hear it the doorknob turns I see my mommy
I get up and run to her wrapping my arms around mommy she hugs me back tight
"Mommy where you been"
"I am a sorry baby. I couldn't come to you when you called. You know mommy wishes she could don't you?"
I nod in mommy's leg
She lifts up my chin
"Please baby don't cry"
"But I hungry, I thirsty, and I hurt mommy. I hurt"
"Where sweetheart"
"My head and my leg"
She picks me up and lays on my bed
She checks my head and my leg she said I good
"Wanna play mommy"
That when dad comes by and says "no mommy doesn't play with a bad girl"
Mommy gets up and leaves she walks out the door leaving me
I run over to the plain white door
