"Mommy I am cold"
My daughter who 2-year she almost 3 she has the Biggest brightest blue I don't know where she gets the blue maybe her it's her father who has the blue eyes I don't know her father either does she
And my job has to do with that I could have an abortion but we I went for final check up I saw her precious little face and I couldn't

"I know baby I am sorry"
I say taking off my jacket and wrapping her with it

She cuddles in the jacket she hides her head in the jacket too where only her dark chocolate dirty brown stick out he hair only dirty brown because she hasn't had a proper bath in a while I can't afford to run the water too long nor can I get Electricity for the heater

I look outside watching the sun slowly going down

It's time for work

I kiss my daughter rough dry hair

"Mommy will be back soon"

"Stay"
She says trying to get up wrapped in the jacket but she gets stuck

"I wish I could"

"I am cold"
She says trying to get me to stay
"I am hungry"
"Food mommy"
"Mommy"
"Mommy I thirsty"
She says on the verge of crying
What she said is probably true but I can't help her now I have to get to work

I need to keep this small broke down apartment for her

"Mommy sorry ill be back before you wake up"

"Pinky promise"
She says putting her pinky out

I wrap my pinky around hers

"Pinky promise no go to sleep"
Harsh but it what she needs to go so I know she'll have to worry about me too much when she asleep

I go to work where I see my daily clients and a new one

Expect this client wasn't interested in what my job provides he was interested In me in a way that made me feel special but I didn't tell him anything no matter how time he keeps asking the questions I stayed silent

I don't know who this person they could be a cop I could get arrested and my little Amelia would have to go, my parent's nevermind she wants my parents won't accept her as a family they stop accepting me for years now and plus I don't want my daughter growing up the way I did hurt and never knowing when it'll stop

She looks so much like a younger version of me except I have brown eyes but everything else is the same from her little button nose to her tiny little feet

I get home to my daughter who cuddled in a ball inside my jacket

"Amelia I got you something"
She climbs out of the jacket and I see her blue eyes piercing the muffin I have in my hand

"For me"

"Yes all for you"

I got the muffin from a bakery down the street from the apartment

It a burnt chocolate muffin

All the muffins cookies and bread I ever get from them is burnt

Why

Because they're going to throw away the muffin and before I do I ask for one which only cost 50 cents most food Amelia and I eat are the last minute throwaways

I break a quarter of the muffin for me and hand the rest to her

She smiles eating the muffins food must feel so good to her right now
I wish I could make her a real meal
