"I told you guys...it's nothing."
Nothing will convince these guys that I am totally fine, I don't need their help, I'm capable of doing this by myself. I was sitting on Vanessa's bed and cluching a pillow.
"We are just a bit worried about you." Vanessa said.
Vanessa is Noah's older sister, she and Noah are very close, they are like twins. Vanessa shares Noah's pale skin, his jet black hair, his light brown eyes and his pointy nose. Vanessa, like me, puts on lots of makeup but she truely looks rich and happy. Her Victoria Secret mini skirt just screams, "I'm better than all of you!"
Vanessa is very mature, she's twenty-four years old but she isn't too smart with academics.
"Sorry, Noah, but I'm going to leave. I can come tomorrow...if you like." I said, looking down at the floor.
I didn't even wait for their answer, I dropped the pillow and bolted to the door. I ran down the stairs and ran out of there as soon as possible. So awkward!

I lay in my bed, just looking at the ceiling, I can't get to sleep.
I am still shook about the phone call I got earlier on, Luke is back and he is coming for me. It took so much to get away from him and he can just pop back into the picture thanks to his vast amount of dirty money.
Luke is a gang leader and I was part of that gang and I dated him for four years. Luke is only one year older than me, he should be at college but instead he's doing things like selling drugs. To be fair I did things like that when I was in the gang. I'm so glad I got away from that.
Luke Walker was so charming when we met, and I think you know what's coming next, yeah, he changed. He started with name calling within a month then the words quickly esculated, I should of got away while I could (the first time he hit me).

Luke was a heavy drinker, it is still stereotypical, he came back from the bar with a couple of his mates from the gang and I was pissed because we were supposed to go on a date.
When he came back home I started badgering him until he started throwing more insults. Being in the gang, I knew you shouldn't let people know when they've got to you, when they've hurt you or when they've affected you.
I tried that technique but that made Luke even more mad.
I wasn't even looking at him when he was ranting because I didn't want him to see the pools of tears in my eyes.
"LOOK AT ME WHEN I'M TALKING TO YOU, BITCH!" He screamed.
He rose his hand to me and hit me, hard.
I held my cheek in shock, he just struck me, he hit me. I was hysterical with fear, I knew I had to get out of there.
I screamed and ran to the bedroom where my things were. I tried to pack my things but my hands were shaking too much, was he going to beat me, was he going to kill me, was this the end for me? I hate to say it but I let him sweet talk me into a false belief.
He manipulated me into thinking it was all my fault, I shouldn't of started with him. He's right and I'm wrong.

I am still recovering, mentally, from that. He abused me; mentally, physically and sexually.
He is one of the reasons I have nightmares.
I was still tossing and turning in my bed until...
Knock knock.
I tensed up as I heard the knocking.
Knock knock.
This person was seriously knocking a five a.m, how unbelievable-
KNOCK KNOCK.
"Fine!" I groaned, getting out of my bed.
I walked to the door and wondered for a little bit longer before I opened the door.
"Young lady!" Miss Yelnats said, in her pink, lacy nightdress.

Last night Mrs Yelnats told me that she could hear me tossing and turning because the walls in our apartment buildings are paper thin.
I live in a really bad area so something like this is expected. Gangs are all over the place but most people around here know that I'm an assassin so I'm not usually messed with.
I was doing my makeup when I got a message on my phone.
Ping!
I finished my lipstick and checked my phone. I nearly dropped the phone, again, when I saw the text.
Queen, this is Luella's mother, I'm sorry. Luella was killed in the Gang-related Shooting.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" I screamed at the top of my voice.
Luella is the only light in my tunnel and now she's gone, she has been through all of my crisis' and now she's just been snached away.
"Gang-related," I whispered under my breath until, "Luke-fucking-Walker."
I knew Mrs Yelnats was coming to kill me soon so I decided to go to a café for first lesson.

I sat down and drank my mocha on a single table. Usually Luella and I would sit in a big booth so nobody else could, it was so funny. Anyway I was thinking about a game plan. I'm not scared of death but I need to avenge Luella, and I think I know how.

Hey, Simran here, sorry this chapter was a bit delayed for my very few readers but I have a lot of homework and shitty projects.
Things like that.
Hope you enjoyed this very eventful chapter, bye!
