Detention

**Ashton's POV**

When the final bell rings I walk to the English class where all the detentions are held and find a desk to sit at as people slowly trickle in. There are about 10 of us sitting here,some are my friends and others are the usual bad boys, something I notice is that today there aren't any girls in detention which is unusual because there usually about three or four bit I don't mind, at least Tessa isn't here. A few minutes later a guy with his hood up walks in and takes the seat behind me so I turn around but their head is down so all I can see is their grey hoodie.

"Hey." That's all I say but he doesn't move so i think snob.

"Now you all know why you are here so I don't need to explain but- Bella no hoods or hats on you know the rules, well clearly you don't as you demonstrated today but anyway-" Miss Jefferys continue to talk but I tune out and turn to look at Bella who I thought was a guy sitting behind me.

"Today you will sit in silence while I wait to make sure you don't speak, time begins now!"

"Bella?" She looks up from under her hood and smiles slightly and I grin.

"Hey Ash." She reaches for my hand and I intertwine our fingers together.

"No talking Miss smith!" Miss Jefferys yells to her and I silently apologise for getting her into trouble.

After ten minutes the phone rings and miss Jefferys leaves to go do something and we all start talking.

"So what did you do bell?" She looks at her desk and then back at me.

"Miss Jefferys was teaching and I was complaining to Marcus and I swore and she overheard me." I laugh and I don't try to cover it up and Bella starts laughing with me.

"I don't need to ask what you did Mr Irwin." I smile and she leans forward to kiss me but her chair tips forward and she falls to the ground.

"Oh my gosh are you ok?" She stands up and lifts up the chair to its correct position.

"Yep I'm fine, let's try that again." She walks up to me and kisses me on the lips.

"Mr Irwin,Miss smith!" Miss Jefferys voice makes me jump and I almost fall backwards off my chair bit Bella catches me and goes back to her desk.

Bing,bing,bing!

Bella turns to her laptop bag and pulls put her laptop which earns a glare from the teacher.

"Oh for English we're doing a pen pal assignment and I just got an email from him." Miss Jefferys let's her away with it and so I decide to see if I have any emails from Niall.

Hey Ashton, I'm gonna be away for a bit but I'll try email you still mate, hey let's play 20 questions to find out about each other I'll start, what's your full name? Niall.

I smile and type an email back to him.

Hey Niall my full name is Ashton Irwin not sure of you want to know my middle name but I'll tell you in my next email of you like, instead of having to play 20 questions and ask one question at a time I think it's better if we ask a few at once so I'll just ask you now, what's your full name(including middle) what's your favourite colour,favourite food,favourite singer and what do you do for a job or do you go to college/high school? Ashton

I feel breath on my neck and I turn around to see Bella reading my message.

"Hey, now I'll have to read yours!" She smiles and passes me her laptop.

Hey Liam sorry I haven't emailed you in a while but I've been kind of busy, in your last email you asked me what we're my favourite things so here they are, food-pizza, colour-light blue, singer-ed sheeran, band-one direction,little mix, the 1975, song-all 1D songs and the 1975s cover of wmyb.

That's all I can think of for favourite thing but here's facts about me: I have blue eyes,blonde/brown hair, I'm a girl(haha obviously) I've been to two concerts,one direction and the fray. I have two best friends called Marcus and Ashton and I have Flatmates that are my friends too their names are Jade,Alice,Matt and George. My full name is Bella harmony smith. That's basically all about me that's interesting,so what are your favourite things and stuff? Bella

I smile at her and pass her computer back, I'm kind of annoyed that she didn't say I'm her boyfriend and she only said I'm a friend but it doesn't matter I didn't tell Niall that either I guess.

"Alright you can leave now, go home and continue living your miserable teenage lives." Miss Jefferys dismisses us, I honestly wonder how these people are teachers because they don't seem to like us at all. I pick up my bag and Bella and I walk out hand in hand.

"So I'll pick you up about seven tonight, is that ok?" She nods and I smile.

"So who are coming?" I count them in my head and tell her five including her.

"Just a few there's Luke Hemmings,Calum Hood,Michael Clifford and you so there actually only four." She smiles and stands on her tiptoes to kiss me when we reach her car.

"Are you walking again?" I shake my head no.

"Calum's giving me a lift, well he's staying after school until tomorrow so he doesn't have to go home and come back for the sleepover at seven." She nods again and opens her car door.

"Ok I'll see you tonight." I nod and wave to her.

"Bye Bella."

"Bye Ash." She starts the car and backs out of the car park and I watch her drive off down the street until Calum comes up to me.

"You ready mate?" I nod,still thinking about Bella.

"Yep."
