I ended up sleeping on the couch last night, Emily wasn't happy about it but she didn't protest. My clothes And vehicles finally showed up, and my bed should be here today.

I woke up this morning before my alarm to a wet nose pressed against mine. Apparently Dempsey has taken a liking to me and ignored Emily all night. I went through my stuff finding some work out gear, my back was still sore but I needed to get a small work out in because I knew I wouldn't be able to go as hard as I wanted to.

I went outside and began stretching looking around to see what I could use. I decided to just jog around the lake, even though I wanted to do more. I ran for about an hour before deciding it was enough, I needed some breakfast and a shower before school.

I made my way back to the house and Emily was sitting on the back porch in the swing drinking coffee, and reading a book. I sat down on the steps, "good morning."

She rolled her eyes at me and I laughed she was not a morning person. "how long have you been up?"

"I usually wake up at 430 every morning, work out, have breakfast, then get ready for school."

She had a mortified look on her face, "430 oh hell no."

I started laughing again and this time she joined me. "I'm gonna cook some breakfast, do you want some."

She nodded her head, and I walked into the kitchen. I decided on egg whites but didn't know how she liked hers so I made regular scrambled as well, along with wheat and white toast, fruit and orange juice.

She came in from outside, "I didn't know how you liked anything so I made a little of everything. After practice today I'll go to the store and get more stuff."

She made her plate joining me at the table. "Thank you, so your going to school today?"

I took a drink of orange juice and placed the glass down, "yes Emily I am, you were right last night, I'm not sad that they are gone. I'm exactly what you said I'm relieved. I'm glad they are gone and I hope they fucking suffered."

I didn't give her a chance to respond I just stood and made my way to the bathroom. I let the warm water of the shower consume my body, I felt guilty for the way I had talked this morning, but it was true.

I was cleaning the kitchen when Emily made her way down the stairs, I couldn't help but watch how graceful she was. She caught me watching her and this time I was the one blushing.

She tried to get me to ride with her, but I refused. I ended up taking my truck since I planned on going to the store later, plus it also looked like it was going to rain.

School was interesting to say the lease, not many people spoke, and I think all the teachers and students where surprised to see me.

A few people offered me their condolenses, others just a simple nod of the head.

Emily kept texting me through out the day checking on me, or probably making sure I hadn't killed anybody.

I was sitting with her during our free period, we were trying to play catch up on paperwork, "are you practicing today?"

It was funny how she had already learned to ask me questions. I knew basically what she was saying was that it wasn't a good idea, but she was going to wait and see if I agreed. "I'm going to practice, but I've already talked to coach, I'm just gonna throw around and run some plays. There is strictly a no hitting policy on me today."

She laughed, "that's probably a good idea.  Mind if I hang around and go to the store with you, I need to pick up a few things as well.".

I nodded my head as we made a plan for me to just come get her after I was done.
