HAPPY BIRTHDAY MINGHAO!!!!!!

candles? check. cake? check. present? check. guests? hopefully, the rest of the performance unit would arrive soon with minghao. as his girlfriend, you felt obligated to throw him a surprise birthday party. everything was going to be perfect. you spent a few hours, making the cake and icing it to perfection. you found cute doggy candles to top it, along with red and pink ones. the lasagna was in the oven heating up. you spent your last paycheck at the store, getting the puma suede platform sneakers that he had been eyeballing ever since they came out. after checking to make sure that the balloons were all filled, and all of the streamers were still in tact, it was finally them for you to relax. you plopped down on the sofa and flipped through the channels. hoshi said that they wouldn't arrive until 17:10, and it was currently 15:23. almost two hours to relax and do nothing. you flipped the tv to (fav channel or fav show.) and set your alarm for 17:00. you then decided to take a nap.

you woke up to the sound of your alarm screaming at you. how nice. you groggily get up and look at the time. 17:00 prompt. 10 minutes until the gang arrives. you rush into the kitchen, and get out the plates and silverware. you took the lasagna out of the oven, and put it on the counter to cool. you checked on the cake that was across from the lasagna. the icing was all good. happy birthday minghao! was written in light blue icing with dark blue accents. you smiled at the wonderful job you did and covered the cake back up. you forgot to turn off the tv, so you ran back into the living room to do so. as soon as you set the remote down, the doorbell rang. out of the window, you could see dino holding onto minghao and giggling, hoshi shushing like a mother, and jun trying to calm dino as well. you ran to the door to open it up.

'he has no idea' hoshi mouthed. you gave him a thumbs up.

"umm, so where exactly am i going?" minghao asked, tapping the blindfold that covered his eyes. nobody responded. dino escorted him up the step, onto the soft carpet of your shared apartment.

"slide your shoes off." jun said.

"can i take off the blindfold?" minghao impaitently asked.

"no." hoshi replied.

"is that lasagna i smell?!" he stopped with one of his shoes halfway off of his foot, to sniff the air.

"come on minghao! finish what you're doing!" chan scolded. minghao shrugged it off, and continued removing his shoes. "this way." chan continued to escort him. "sit." he demanded.

"okay jeez chan. maybe show some respect to your hyung." jun, hoshi, and chan all got their lasagna, and you dished out minghao's. they all sat down with their plates, and you put his in front of him.

"you can take off the blindfold now." jun said. minghao removed the blindfold. his face lit up when he saw everything prepared, and all of his friends sitting at a table with him, to celebrate his birthday.

"happy birthday minghao!" the four of you said in unison.

"thanks guys! i can't believe you set all of this up for me!" he said, flustered.

"actually, y/n set all of this up." hoshi added.

"wait really?" minghao asked.

"well, i wouldn't go that far..." you replied. "the three of them had the fun job of entertaining you while i set this up. it didn't take long."

"well thanks again!" he was ecstatic. "let's eat!"

"cheers to that!" chan added excitedly. dinner time was full of laughs and the members of the performance unit reminiscing of good times. when it was time for dessert, you were excited.

"i hope you all like the cake. i put a lot of time into it!" you said. sounds of all of the guys cheering filled the dining room. you brought the cake out and set it on the table, and lit the candles. you all sang happy birthday to him, and he blew out the candles. after that, the guys and you dug into the cake like hungry dogs.

"this cake is amazing!" hoshi exclaimed.

"totally!" dino and minghao agreed.

"you'll have to teach me how to do this sometime y/n!" jun added.

"haha, thanks guys!" you laughed. after you all finished the cake, it was present time. you really hoped that minghao still wanted the shoes.

"present time!" chan yelled. after he received all of his presents from his friends, you gave yours to him.

"i hope you like this." you said.

"i'm sure i will." he replied. as soon as he saw the box, he got really excited. he pulled out the shoes and instantly tried them on. you couldn't help but laugh at his childish actions. "they're awesome! this has been the best birthday ever!" he made his rounds around the table, hugging and saying thank you to everybody. "thanks y/n." he started, "i love you."

"i love you too." you hugged him and he gave you a kiss on the forehead.

"this birthday wouldn't have been so amazing if it weren't for my best friends and the greatest girlfriend ever. thanks guys."

"anytime." the four of you replied simultaneously.

wow, where have i been... so far, this school year has been pretty hard, and i'm gonna need to study more than i'm used to. i'll try to fit in some writing, and i'm definitely going to write a christmas imagine for each member, so stay tuned!!
