Mingyu unzips his backpack pulling out his phone to answer it. His Moms contact appears across the screen.

"She's probably wondering where I am.." he whispers to himself as he slides his finger over his phone and puts it up to his ear.

"Hey mom"

"Mingyu where are you there's no practice today right?" His mom frantically asks.

"No mom I decided to stay after with a tutor to get some help with chemistry"

"Oh Mingyu look at you being responsible"

"Yeah, yeah, yeah are you okay with me staying after"

"Yes of course, what time will you be home?"

"A couple minutes before dinner okay?" Gyu hesitantly ask knowing his mom and family dinners.

"Ya that's fine as long as you're serious about getting homework help, I'm making pea soup your favorite!" She giggles, then hangs up before Mingyu had a chance to state for the millionth time, pea soup is not his favorite.

   Mingyu sits in the library for about 10 minutes playing temple run before his new tutor walks in, he looks up at her and she looks familiar. He shakes it off he knows everyone in this school but he's never noticed this girl but he feels like he should...

"Hi are you (Y/N)?" Gyu asks as he stands up to pull out a chair for her.

"It's fine I got it, and yes I'm your tutor" you say giving mingyu a slight glare.

((Back story)) (Y/N) and MIngyu used to talk all the time in elemtary all through middle school that was until he decided to join the baseball team which turned him into a full time play by and I'm not just taking about playing the sport..he forgot all about (Y/N) but she never forgot about him she loved him but never had the guts to tell him how she really felt~~~

"(Y/N) I can't concentrate, I honestly can't grasp chemistry it's like Mrs.Paige is out to get me! Mingyu huffs out and slumps back in his chair."

"Okay just take a brain break.."

After a moment of silence you decide to break the silence

"If you feel as though she is after you why not go after her?"

"What do you mean?"

"I mean that if she's purposely challenging your strength show her that you try and that you are willing to bring your grade up, that's what I mean."

"You know what thats actually not a bad idea hm thanks, you know what (Y/N)!"

"What" you say bluntly not really to know what.

"Since I'm not getting the hang of chemistry maybe you could give me some advice ON chemistry" he leans forward with a smirk.

"What do you mean?" You ask leaning away from Mingyu with a raised eyebrow.

"I mean with girls, as in you know lo-"

"Ya I know what you mean." You say cutting him short.

"And before you say anything else first of all I am not the person you should be asking for love advice, second i thought a guy like you would already have it figured it out." It seemed a little over the line of nice and mean after it came out of your mouth but on the other side its not like you wanted to tell him that hes got it all wrong and admit you've HAD feelings for him.

"Oh..but what if I act like I have it all figured out but I really don't." He says with a brittle voice that drifts off into a sigh.

"And what are you getting at?" You monotonously ask wondering where this whole conversation has lead to.

"What I mean is all of these girls around me and I only stay around the and try to stand out so that one gir, this one girl in particular notices me...again..she's way out of my league and I don't know how to talk to her without her judging me for who I've become over the years. I did make a plan to try and talk to her again i just hope it works ya know?"

"Ya I know, and you never know this girl might like you back she could even be falling for you, you just have to give whoever they are a chance to open themselves and realize who you truly are right?"

"Ya I should shouldn't I?" He asks rhetorically but you nod in return anyways.

"Do you maybe want to go grab coffee by chance? I would love to get more advice if you don't mind"

"Ya sure, I love coffee"

Mingyu smiles at your response because his plan is now set in stone.

A few minutes later you both leave the school and get into Mingyu's car. When you arrive at the coffee shop you reach to open the door but Mingyu reaches over to stop you.

"Wait here let me get the door." He says looking down at your lips with his beautiful brown eyes.

As soon as he opens your door he reaches his hand towards you to help you out. You grab his hand and shiver because you've always wanted to hold his hand, you think this may be the only time you get to so you hold on tight.

Once you're both settled in the booth sitting across from each other a waitress walks up.

"Hi what can I get for you two"

"Can i have a vanilla bean Frappuccino" Mingyu smiles at the waitress.

Hm of course he does, he smiles at every girl you know this is not a date but he could at least chill for a bit.

"Can I please have a Caramel mocha." You ask politely.

The waitress nods and head off toward the kitchen, you swing you head back to look at Mingyu to find he's there looking at you.

"So how's your day going" he says with a bright smile still invading your personal bubble.

"It's going good." You say backing away and slumping into your seat.

You and Mingyu make small talk with hints of him flirting for some reason, when the waitress shows up she sets down the two drinks and Mingyu hands her the money and she walks off.

"I was going to pay but thank you."

"Anytime." Mingyu says smiling and eyeing your drink.

You turn it around to look at the little paper stuck to it and it reads,

You look back up to Mingyu to find that his face in right in front of yours again before you push yourself away he pecks you on the lips and blushes.

"I would love to." You say putting the biggest smile on that boy's face that you've ever seen. I guess he doesn't need tutoring after all.
