Nothing much has changed between Grayson and I since we went out on that one date roughly two weeks ago.

I think we are both on the same page that we are not interested in each other as anything more than friends. We tried a date, but it just didn't work out so well that way.

That being said, Grayson and I have grown closer as friends. He was actually coming over today too study and meet Hope.

Despite not being interested in him as a boyfriend, I was still nervous for him to meet her. I was hoping that they'd like one another because I want to continue being friends with Grayson, but if Hope doesn't like him, that could never work.

"Alright, Sis, I'm headed out." Brennan leaned down to kiss Hope's cheek as a way of see you later.

"See you, Bren, good luck." He has his third meeting with Adam, the high school sophomore that he is paroling. Legally, Brennan can't give me all the details of Adam's criminal life, but he did inform me he got into trouble at school and that was the main cause for this meeting.

AKA, Brennan was going to have a long day dealing with his delinquent.

"Have fun," he said as he pulled his satchel over his shoulder that had several files in them.

With that, Brennan left, leaving Hope and I alone again.

"Hey, bibs," I cooed at her from across the room. Hope looked back down at her lap, clapping her hands against the mini table attached to her highchair.

She had apple sauce in front of her, but she didn't like eating by herself. She can hold the spoon on her own for the most part, but she's not a fan.

"Alright, I'm coming," I chuckled at her antics.

In the middle of my feeding her, there was a knock on the door. Hope didn't look pleased when I had to set her spoon and apple sauce down to go unlock the door for Grayson.

"Hey!" I greeted Grayson, moving to the side for him to come him. Hope started hitting her spoon that was clutched in her hand against her chair again, obviously hungry.

"This must be Hope." He slid his shoes off and joined me over by Hope in the dinning area.

I stuck another spoon full of apple sauce into her mouth.

"It is," I smiled, tickling her tummy in hopes of getting a smile out of her, to no avail.

"She's even cuter in person."

"Thank you! I just have to finish feeding her, then I have to put her down for her nap. Then we can study."

"Alright," he agreed.
