As William with his friends and family, exited the city with the knights and other civilians, William noticed just how little were able to escape the knights only numbered 150 with around 300 scared civilians and not enough supplies to last until the entire group reached Fayhallow. the leader of the Knights, sir Wolf called William, Erick and Shania along with a few other teenagers(of which consisted of the other two boys Michael and John who were talking about Shania and her family). The Knight commander Sir Wolf then told them that as the youngest and fastest of the group they would be sent ahead too ask Fayhallow to send an attachment of soldiers with supplies to help the citizens who would move at a slower pace then the six teenagers. He then turned towards Shania and handed her a shirt and pair of trousers with a magic staff saying that this might make her journey easier, and that she could use his tent to change she kindly obliged and took the clothes and staff and headed towards the tent. He then turned to William and Erick telling them that as the most experienced fighters of the group they would lead it. As he explained this William saw the two bullies slip away and head towards Shania's tent. William then asked to be excused silently followed them as they snuck behind the tent, William saw that there was a hole in the tent and that the boys were about to look through it. William silently unsheathed oathkeeper (his family's sword he renamed it) and placed it against Michaels throat as he tried to look through the hole surprised both of the boys fell back but didn't make a noise. In a quiet but furious voice William told them, "Stand up, and Walk to Sir Wolf." With fear on there faces they both nodded and stood with their head low in embarrassment they headed back to the commander and William explained what happened. As punishment Sir Wolf told them that they were not allowed to carry a weapon larger than a dagger on the expedition force, they were given the choice of either staying with the group and being forced to cook, clean and look after the horses. Or their other choice go with William on the expedition and only carry daggers for protection, they readily choose the latter option. As the group headed out William l,Erick and Shania told their parents goodbye, Shania's parents only agreed to letting her go because they figured that the farther she was from the monsters the better. The group started on their Shania was given a magical Staff that would allow her to heal wounds and summon wards easier, Erick got a steel longsword, Calil a tall quiet young Elf who's parents were also mages was given a magic staff that let him cast fire spells of a higher grade easier, John and Michael were given short iron daggers of low quality, and William had Oathkeeper, along with a bow and a bushel of arrows. Each also had hardened leather armor with chainmail underneath to protect them and each had a horse of their own except Michael and John who had to share one (part of their punishment). Then they set off Fayhallow was 200 miles away which would take them two to three days to complete they were also given food water and tents a long with a fire kit. Fayhallow was a port city it was fairly large and it's major exports are fish but it's also the seat of the King's army. Which is the reason William and his friends must travel there to get help along with it being the closest city to them. It was getting dark as William and his group galloped towards Fayhallow, so they brought the horses to a stop, and headed towards a clearing to the left of the road where they could set up camp for the night. After the tents were set up with a warm fire in the middle William took out a couple pieces of meat, bread and spices they brought with them. Then William remembered that he didn't know how to cook his mother true to teach him, but he forgot. Shania seeing William's struggle laughed as she approached him, and asked "you need help with that my love?" William relived sighed and said "yes please Beautiful." (he added a wink to the last part which made Shania blush) Shania took the ingredients and a pan over to the fire and started making their dinner they still had an hour or two before the sun would set, and as he waited he called Erick over so they could go over their route for getting to Fayhallow. After they went over the plans they decided to have a training spar William unsheathed his sword, and Erick followed. They crossed their blades and turned taking a few steps back then faces each other which is customary before a training duel. They then rushed at each other swords clashing, and as William wielded Oathbreaker the Deord seemed to move of its self blocking every strike by Erick and countering. Erick has always been a better swordsman than William, who preferred a bow anyway. But today seemed different William was slowly pushing Erick back and Erick started to get angry and strike with more ferocious blows. Still William managed to match him blow for blow, and as the duel got William didn't seem to tire as fast, then they heard Shania's voice ring out "suppers ready!" Erick and William stoped their duel and sheathed their swords hurrying to the fire where they saw Calil already eating and Shania setting up plates all except two plates. William then Turned to see Michael and John coming out of their tents the lazy boys decided to take a nap while everybody else did something even calil helped set up tents and gather fire wood which he used his magic to set ablaze. It was also the first anyone heard him talk he kept making jokes while they worked which brought up everyone's mood. William sat with Shania and Erick to eat, then Michael and John asked where our plates Women. Which without even skipping a beat Shania snapped back in the pan make it yourself you pigs. To which the boys mumbled something under their breath and made their food and sat down not saying a word more. After they finished Dinner it was already almost dark, William then told everyone that they had to take turns keeping watch and they would keep watch in pairs. John, and Michael had first watch since they took a nap before dinner, William and Shania would take second watch and Calil, and Erick would take the final watch. They only had three tents so they shared with their watch partners. William snuggled up to Shania under their bed role and shut his eyes they had to get some sleep before the next day they had a long day ahead.
