Hallowed Vanguard

The Demons within us

   William Entered the large cavernous room where at the middle of the room a man in large Crimson armor stands there pouring over a few documents.
    From behind him William can hear Hunter start to talk about the figure in the room, and William feels  that dark force from earlier wash over him as he starts to laugh and unsheathes his sword, then he blacks out.
   William wakes up in a dark spacious area with a massive headache and a pain in his side. The room he's in is not exactly a room or building but not outside around him there are spires reaching to the top stretching far and out of his sight he reached down and realized he had no sword or weapon of any kind he then remembers what happened before he blacked out and he hears a chuckle echo through the space yet there was no one to be seen.
   Confused and worried for the safety of his friends. William starts to look for a way out looking around and starting to walk in a random direction. As William wandered around his vision darkens, and his setting changes into a castle throne room. William looks around and realizes he recognized this place, he was in it was the Dukes keep in Aiglasas. As he looks around baffled William noticed that at the throne he sees the Shadow knight sitting there speaking to a group of men, mer, and orc sitting around him instead of the Duke who's body he sees in the corner of the room.
    William quickly hides behind a pillar and sneaks closer but as he peeks around the pillar he comes face to face with a tall man an entire foot above his head with a large snake like creature next to him the snake has a face similar to that of a human skull the man has a demon like skull face  with large curved horns the man lets out that same chuckle William heard earlier and the snake lunged at William and his vision blurs and his location once again changing  the mans chuckle can be heard echoing even louder through the area then the last time William heard it.
   William heard the chuckle again and he gets a chill down his spine as he breaks into a full sprint. As he's running William notices he's in a forest and to his left he sees a large tower rising above the trees it was the tower of the Vanguards Shield William takes off running towards the mighty fortress to find his friends.
   While running William trips landing face first into a puddle of some liquid and as he turns around he sees the bodies of his friends, Shania, Calil, Erick, Nahomi, and Hunter along with the other mages and his dog Damon. All of their throats slit. With and expression of fear on his face William realizes that the puddle he landed into was a puddle of blood. As William looks at the bodies of his friends Erick stands up and walks over to William as he approaches William the skin and hair from his head start to peel and fall off finally as Erick stands in front of William his face now the skull of the snake as the foul creature uncoils from inside of his friends body and around Williams paralyzed body as he hears the chuckle of that man thing, as he walks from the shadows of the woods. The man walks up to William grabbing him by the throat and picking William up and the snake lets go of him. "You are mine I will break you" the man whisperers In a deep raspy voice into Williams ear.
   Williams eyes focuses on the corpse of his love, Shania laying there lifeless and with tears running down his face William looks this beast in his eyes and spits in his face. "You'll never break me, and I will kill you." The horned man smiles and drops William to the ground as he lets out a deep bellowing laugh. As William hits the ground he starts to gasp for breath as his vision fades once more.
   William wakes up and looks to the sky as snow gently falls onto the cobbled streets of Aiglasas as William starts to walk he hears the voice he has not heard for a while, the voice of Robert Ruse the same kid who stabbed him half a year ago. William peeks over the small wall seeing Robert talk with his two friends and with no hesitation William jumps down tackling Robert and taking his dagger plunging it into the boys throat then turning around and sliding the throats of Micheal and John.
After William kills them he hears the chuckle once more as the man jumps down from where William was just a few moments ago his snake following him.
"Seems I have broken your mind already" the man says letting out another deep thundering laugh.
"No but now I have a weapon." William says with a chuckle of his own as he jumps on the larger man and stabs him repeatedly in the throat. The man just laughs and grabs William and throwing him and William crashing through the door of the bakery and rose to his feet as the snake rushed in after him William having to roll to the side and running through the front door and into the street towards his own house.
  William makes it to his old house and tugs open the door and gets hit in the guy by the horned man as he lets out another chuckle. The snake jumps into the air and transforms into a sword the sword has a skull hilt with a long bone like blade. "If you won't break you'll die for you see I'm not a patient man I have to give you credit though a lot of people don't try this hard but you're no fun to toy with so I'll kill you take over your body and kill those you love."
  Upon hearing this William realizes he is trapped with this thing inside of his head and he is filled with rage upon the thought of this thing killing his friends with his body. William jumps at the man tripping him and pushing him to the ground and pulling his sword from his hands then rolling off  of him standing the large snake sword in his hands. "First you have to kill me asshole."William says as he takes a swing at the man cutting a large slash in his stomach. Instead of a laugh this time the man lets out a blood curdling scream as he reaches for William. William sidesteps and swings downward cutting the horned mans leg off at the knee then as the man falls William stabs the sword through his neck as the man lets out one more chuckle as he dies.
    William slumps down tired and breathing hard as he looks at the now dead horned man and wonders to himself why is he still here then as if on cue the sword turned back into a snake and lunged at William, who was barely able to evade running into the house where he went down the stairs grabbing the key on his way down where he opened the family chest, and letting out a sigh of relief as he pulls Oathkeeper from the chest and unsheathes it turning to the stairs.
  William stood there waiting for the snake The he looks up as the snake lunges from the roof. William jumps back and slices the snakes head clean off and as he as his vision starts the fade and he gasps as he realizes he's tied up in the large room where he apparently passed out.  The body of the Crimson Warrior laying there a few feet in front of Where William sat, the Warrior had a sword in his throat.
