Hallowed Vanguard

Seige of DragonHold

       William and his friends pass over the Bridge and Into the massive fortress of DragonHold, the body of the decapitated Lightning mage and the wounded Erick on stretchers, behind them. A few students and teachers run over to check on the group, the master healers approach Erick and start to heal his wounds which we're above the capabilities of the lesser students who could only keep him alive long enough to arrive at DragonHold. The family and friends of Zern the lightning mage who lied dead his head in his lap, came to say their goodbyes a few breaking down and crying as the group decided to leave them to their mourning taking the freshly healed Erick with them.
"Let's go to the archmages and show them what we found." Shania says to break the silence that has passed over the entire school, as the mages in their group all left to see friends and family. The only remaining mages are Nahomi, and Hunter. The group heads up the stairs to the Archmages council room entering the large room with the mages Calil's fathers eyes light up when he sees his son alive and well.
William walked over along with Shania to explain the the head Archmage of the events that transpired at the Vanguards Shield. After the recap of the weeks priors events the Archmage asks, "is this all you found and, are you sure you weren't being spied upon?"
   "No sir, we didn't secure the area we could've been spied upon."
    "Daft boy, anyhow it's unlikely that you were and they would be a fool to attack DragonsHold." The old wizard stared as he stood from his large throne like chair at the head of the council table.
    "What should be our next course of action?" Shania asks stepping forward. "Also William needs to be healed he was poisoned l, and it caused him to go crazy, he says his fine now but I don't believe that shit for a moment." Shania says before any of the mages can get a word out to answer her previous question. "I'm fine, I got rid of the demon my heads cleared." William says exasperated letting out a deep sigh as they talked about this nonstop on the way back from the Vanguards Shield.
Before anyone could say anything else a large explosion sounded, that shook the fortress. William and Shania along with the rest of their group ran up the stairs to the top of the council room tower. William looked out he saw a large swarm of flying beasts about the size of a man a little larger, pulling mages into the air and dropping them as arcs of magic fly into the air killing some of the creatures who William suspected to be harpies or some subspecies of a harpy, most of the creatures were able to dodge the magic and kill the mage who sent it into the air.
The mages realizing they were losing a lot more men decided to retreat into the castle walls. Out of the ancient forest that stands in front of DragonsHold hold comes more of the creatures marching on the ground with large war machines behind them and leading this army on a large black steed was him the Black Knight himself.
"Well shit." William says as the army moves forward and their war machines fire launching their projectiles into the ancient walls of DragonsHold. "What creatures are those?" Calil asks stepping forward. "I don't know from here they kind of look like harpies but harpies aren't that intelligent or quick and they definitely don't walk." William says answering Calil.
The group rushes back down, telling the Archmages what they saw. "The Dorgzon, I thought they went extinct a long time ago. The head Archmage says looking down to make the expression of fear on his face less noticeable. The entire group of wizards start to argue over their next course of action. "With all of you speaking at once nothing makes sense, so would you shut your fucking mouths and talk like adults for five minutes the fortress is under attack damn it!" Shania yell out as all the mages turn to look at her in shock before taking a deep breath and going over options on what do Do next.
The group came to the conclusion that they would send all the students along with William and his friends through portals while the masters would try to hold DragonsHold against the onslaught from the creatures know as the Dorgzon. The Archmages made the announcement telling everybody to meet I. The portal room to send the youth away.
As the group escorted the Slow elderly Wizards along with Calils father the one young Archmage they heard something crash into the room in front of them and two Dorgzon exited the room a look of hatred on their lizard like faces, William, Shania, and Erick unsheathes their sword and rush the Monsters. One pulled out a long sword and the other pulled out two short swords as they met in combat William could tell that they would be hard to beat William, and Shania focused on the one with two short swords as Erick engaged in combat with the one with a long sword since Erick used a great sword.
The Dorgzon easily blocked And parried all of Williams and Shania's sword swings it seemed to be toying with them, the same held true for Erick before finally they heard the lighting Archmage say, "enough of this." And two arcs of lighting shot from his hands killing the Dorgzon, the group quickly picked up their pace reaching the portal room they were the last ones to make it there.
William looked back as all his friends left through the portal along with the mage youths, he looked back at all the older mages who put on brave faces. But William knew that they would all die, and as he looked at them he noticed in the back of the room a large dark figure in the back wearing Armor as black as night then the doors to the portal room flew off their hinges and the army of Dorgzon rushed in yelling their battle cries as the mages turned and engaged them. An air mage saw William and turned around sending a gust of wind pushing William through the portal as William left the room he saw that air mage get cut down then the portal closed after he went through.
