Still Opala's POV...
"YOUCH!"
A sharp pain in my side makes me jolt awake.
I flutter my eyes open to see that I'm in some sort of floodlight-lit cavern, and the same Star Warrior from before, holding an empty epidermic needle over me, and and calmly staring into my eyes." ...WH- WHO ARE YOU?!?"
With a small shrug, he answers without hesitation. "I'm Augustine. Pleased to make your acquaintance, ma'am."
Clearing my throat, I reply. "Nice to meet you... Augustine. Now, if I may ask..."
*deep breath*
"WhereamIwhatisthisplacehowdidIgethere howdidyougetherewhyamIhereand WHY AM I PASSING OUT ALL THE TIME?!?"
He stares at me blankly, sets down the needle on a tray, and holds up his gloves in a defensive manner. "Opala, calm down. If you get all hyped, you'll pass out again."
"OH REAAAAAALLLLLY?!??" I shout, throwing my gloves in the air.
My vision goes fuzzy. Crap. He's right...I shake my head, returning to reality.
"Not to be rude or anything, but I warned you. Also, I should probably explain why I shot you with the tranquilizer rifle." Augustine gestures towards a rack of rifles on the wall, neatly organized shortest to longest.
"Yes, that would be nice." I reply calmly. There's no way I'm going faint that easily again.
"Okay." He hops onto a swivel chair and rotates a few times when he spoke. "So, from my observations, I have concluded that you're incredibly malnourished. Plus, the desert's been acting strange lately. I check my location daily, and usually I'm in the Eastern hemisphere, but... as we speak, we're in the West... I'm still researching the topic as much as possible, but this happened overnight." He turns his gaze to a map of the planet, also neatly hung up on the cave wall. Sighing, he continues speaking.
"It's like someone is anonymously shuffling the tectonic plates somehow, and now that you're here, we're two times more susceptible to spies and aircrafts and all that. AND YET THERE'S ANOTHER QUESTION TO BE ANSWERED!" He turns his gaze back to me. "Where the heck are you from? Why are you here? How did I come across you? But back to adding onto the reasons why I shot you with the tranquilizer, I was way too lazy to argue and wrestle with you to get you here, so I tranquilized you and dragged your body into my camp. But still..."
Augustine quietly sighs in frustration, and closes his eyes for a little. I couldn't help myself no longer. "So... why are you here, Augustine?" I quickly ask, accidentally spooking the snoozing Star Warrior enough to make him fall off the chair he was sitting on.
Rubbing his head, he reluctantly replies while standing back up. "Why I am here is none of your business." He shoots a 'menacing' glare in my direction. "I can tell you're trying to hide a smile, ya know," His glare quickly fades to a saddened expression, as his shoulders drop. "But... Can you please tell me how in the name of Nova you got here? Please? It'll be one less problem for all of us."
I dig in my memories, in search for an answer of any kind.
But... Now that I think of it, I can't really remember anything...
