Opala's POV.

As I leave Augustine's tent and begin to head back to the sleeping quarters, I pause to stare into the darkness.

A pair of round ice blue eyes stare back.

"Enit?"

They blink contently.

"Hm. If it's you, blink twice."

It's me.

"Oh. Ok then."

The shivering shape of Enit steps forth.

"What's up?" I ask, stretching once more.

"I... I had a dream."

"...Ok?"

"Not a nightmare."

"Oh. Cool."

"It was so pretty. It was like I was loved. I saw my mother and my father, and we laughed and played together. I had a friend as well!" His face instantly lights up, but then fades away.

"But at the end, my friend and I got separated from our parents and chased away by..."

The conversation is dipped in a long silence.

"...By who?"

"Ophidialyn."

I feel shivers go down my body as Enit spoke.

"What is Ophidialyn like?" I ask.

"A giant reptile with an obsession with Dark Matter. It's gotten to the point of where she bathes herself in it."

"Ew."

I mean, giant reptile I can handle. But bathing in pure evil is a bit over the line.

"But I don't know why she was there. She hates the cold. He lair is like a sauna, only because she hates the being chilly. But it's not a weakness, just a preference."

"Where were you in the dream?" I ask, crossing my gloves.

"A small, but frozen planet known as Castelolia." Enit whispers, as if he was daydreaming.

"Hm. Cool. Literally." I say, my tone a bit plain.

"Yeah. I was going to talk to Augustine about it, but then you showed up. Don't worry though. Nothing big was going to happen anyway." Enit mutters.

He's gotten a lot calmer since I've met him. Progress has been made within his mind, and it's making a big difference in the way he acts.

"Well, I'd better get going. You may not need sleep at the moment, but this gal does. So bye for now, Enit."

"Bye."

He skitters away, enveloping himself in darkness once more.

I continue to the sleeping quarters, hardly paying attention to anything.

Flopping myself on the pile of straw, I manage to get a few hours of sleep.

But...

I awaken in a lush jungle, exotic birds singing their shrill songs, and frogs gurgling their low symphonies.

"Oh good. You're awake. There's not much time. Let's go."
