Current time

Still Augustine's POV...

I seriously don't know how to feel.

That dream is like a reoccurring nightmare. I hardly sleep anymore, because I don't want to see my parents and my friend die every night.

I don't want anyone to die, in fact.

Not even my enemies, no.

Back in my army days, whenever I was on a mission, I would find a wounded soldier, and heal them. Just like any field medic would. But if a monster were to attack me during the process, I would only kick it; never kill it.

When the soldier was good to go, I'd move on to the next wounded man, not run off to aimlessly slaughter monsters and get harmed again in the process.

That's a warrior's job.

Even though everyone I had ever loved was killed by a monster, I've always been curious if they can help it or not.

Anyway, Galacta Knight's disappeared. Oh boy. At this point, I couldn't care less. I return to studying my research.

The Sun flu.

Like any disease, it's contagious, but unlike any disease, it can time travel.

Yep. You heard me right. Time travel.

If I can't get this to a research facility in time, everything's screwed. Not just Star Warriors.

Everything.

I've spent countless hours and restless nights trying to find a vaccine for it.

My comrades would ask me how many hours of sleep I would get, but they already knew. I once went two months or more living off of coffee. I regretted it so much...

But point being, this disease not only harms the victim physically, but mentally as well.

I could go on and on about the symptoms, but I'll have to explain it later. We have to get to the research facility on Halcandra.

"Who has a ship that's ready to go and somewhat reliable?" I blurt, spooking the group.

They all bring a slow stare on Meta Knight.

It takes him a moment to realize what they're looking at. "Hey. I mean, you can if you want to, but usually when I offer a ride to the next planet on the Halberd, they say that they'd rather walk. Ok? It's fine by me, but I'm not driving."

"If it'll get us to Halcandra, then I'm willing to drive." I say, surprising everyone again.

"Halcandra?! Why in the sweet name of Nova would you want to go to Halcandra?!"
Meta Knight shouts. "And spread your wings, Augustine. I know your cape's dimensional."

Oh shoot.

Erm...

"One: my office is there and I'll be around equipment I'm used to. Two: Whaddya mean my cape's dimensional? I don't have one of those. They're way too expensive for me..."

Please fall for that please fall for that please oh pleassssse...

"Cut the crap, Augustine. I saw Opala dig around in the thing myself. Spread your wings and fly." Meta Knight growls.

"...Can't."

"And why's that?"

"I just can't."
